After spending about $45 on 2 different fiber optic type sights, I realize they aren't going to cut it. That plus it doesn't look like there would be a good spot on the forearm to mount a QD sling pocket....I just ordered the GG&G mount. I know I won't be happy until I do it the right way. |

I also am not a 1 point sling fan...for the record. If you want to use a one point sling, that may effect you. It is also missing a way to lock the buffer tube so it cannot rotate....above and beyond the castle nut. I have only shot a few quick rounds through it with the brace in place, so IF it rotates...and it may. I will simply drill and tap a hole from the bottom side and add a small button head cap screw. One shouldn't have to do this, but I seem to always be needing to do something to make most guns/accessories just the way I need them. I have a mill/drill press and proper tapping tools, so It will be easy peasy. My opion is all, but I really like my ergo adaptor. Oh, one other thing to note. If you use a magpul MIAD grip on it, you will notice that the grip itself has slight chamfers/tapers at the front...for comfort, I assume. With this, the adaptor where the front of the grip meets it is a little wider then that narrowed area of the grip. It isn't sharp or anything, just may be a pet peave for some. I ended up ordering a ergo flattop sure grip in grey...assuming that will fit perfectly, although I am not a big ergo grip fan, I will try it out. Should arrive in a few days. Before adding the mount and holosun, I temporarily had a fiber optic vent rib mounted front triangle yellow/green mounted on the front...just a magnet type setup. That sat just high enough compared to the factory front bead that I could get a decent cheek weld. It may have been a tiny bit higher to be perfect, but it seemed to be ok. This is all based on just blasting the other side of the ditch. No outdoor ranges open here, and it has been a tuff winter with snow and cold. Can't wait to get out for a formal range day. Hope that answers your question. |

Personally I think any optic is wasted on this platform. This is a shoot from the hip/fast shoulder shot. Sights are secondary. Room distance shots. I think anything hanging on this is a hinderance to its true intended purpose. Quick up-close rapid powerful shots. |

I doubt it would work. V3 gas system is totally different and occupies a different space under the handguard. I am surprised Remington is still making 1100 or 11-87 guns - the new system is much better. |

The vented gas block and the gas exhaust on the synthetic V3 was too much for walnut, forearm cracking was the result in testing, and that meant the developing of three different solutions and extended testing and re-testing after the design was finalized. https://www.randywakeman.com/OnTheRemingtonV3.htm |

Wood stocks made it. Both are very nicely finished. One set has some beautiful grain, the other less pattern and more straight grain and a ding in the wood, which I'll chop. It's interesting that Midwest Gunworks has more V3 parts on its site than Remington. |

Sorry that happened; but very interested in how this plays out. I've been following the V3, but not enough to know if this is common or a fluke. Everything I've read so far seems to indicate that the V3 runs like a champ with nothing of this sort of malfunction occurring. Good luck and keep us posted. Best Regards Rod |

The forward-facing gas vent tubes were created to keep the forend from cracking. The gas vents for the synthetic models, which were introduced first, would crack the wood forends. |
