I'm stoked.  Just picked this little beauty up today.  Only thing specific to the K is the Slate Black hand stop and panels.  The irons and Huey are for something not built yet just to see what it all looks like.  Debating between a form 1 or a collapsible brace.

Yup.  T2.

Do you find the extra room for grip to be $150 worth of use?  And do you get any shadowing from your illuminator?

I'd prefer a c-clamp grip on mine, but I have to settle for modified c-clamp using the SF Unity Hot Button mounted on the left side.  So rather than wrap over the top, I wrap over the button.

I was just out testing tonight. For me, Yeah, it's worth it. It helps solve the challenge with limited rail space/grip area. Imo, it's a more "elegant" way to push the laser up, when compared to other offerings. (The Gbrs mount, JagerWerks A1 mount)

There was zero illuminator splash with my setup, even with the illum opened all the way up and with gloved hands. I have my fire button located on the 9 o'clock position, so I'm sure that will influence how much splash you will be getting. When I tried C-clamping with the fire button on top, there was a faint glow, but it wasn't enough to matter.
Just be aware, traditional laser holds will be offset a little over an inch and more so on closer targets. (I missed clipping a beaver this evening should have went passive lol) Man-sized steel it won't matter much.

I know where there are 2 SRD762Ti-qd’s sitting in a shop right now, they’ve been there for a couple years. They have a bunch of NOS suppressors.

Thanks!  Its a Trex arms light bar.  Really pushes the light out to get less suppressor shadow; however, I use it on this setup because it gets the light body out of the way which makes it easier for me to engage the atpial manually (using the fire button on top), since there isn't a lot of room for switches.

It’s direct thread. I just had to thin out the inside of the hand guard a bit to make it work.

Unfortunately, no.

That's what I've read as well but I'll defer to you @Coregon, as you would certainly know.  However, with all the pics you have made for us here, have you ever done a comparative picture of your original LVAW receiver next to a Legacy receiver without the handguards mounted.  I'd really like to see the difference.

Thanks for the quick response Coregon, but I really wanted to see the left side with the stock extended.  The picture I have is a poor blow up of another LVAW.  I'm just interested in the evolution of the MCX receivers.  Ideally, I'd like to see all the receivers with the handguards removed so I can see the changes in length as well.  Below is what I have so far.  It appears to me that the Spear LT has adopted the best parts of the previous editions which is what evolution is all about.

optimum rattler set up.

for those with the altrd ego lvaw repro rail, what was the best way to reach him? I ended up picking a legacy upper and need to change my order. I've sent him an email and a chat on his website but no luck.

Try going through his Ig as well. His comms are super sporadic.
Eta: still needs a dedicated 300 suppressor.

Not without modifying the handguard.

The Virtus receiver has a longer top rail than the Rattler receiver.

I'm new to the MCX realm. Got a legacy upper and a 10" Lancer handguard on the way (also a LVAW repro rail). Was the 10" lancer part of the LVAW kit or just the 8"? Any hope for an 8" to come to market or are we going to have to wait for Altrd ego to make one?

Good morning, @Omega9000
Welcome to club Legacy(TM). Since this is a photo thread, do you want to go ahead and start a new thread with your question? Or you could ask in the FAQ thread as well since we cover some LVAW topics there.

Need some input from the mcx experts. So I put together the mcx legacy upper with the 6.75" virtus exchange kit and realized that the ears on the gas valve don't exactly line up with the opening of top rail, making it rather difficult to change the gas setting. I don't think I can replace the ears for the legacy ones so I probably won't switch gas settings much. Do you guys recommend I just run subs and supers on the - settling? (Going to use a non-flow through can).

The newer forked gas lever from Virtus and Rattler indeed does not fit well with the Legacy Upper.  If you want to change that, you need the original MCX Gas Lever  which resembles, for lack of better words, a wing nut with dimples so a bullet tip can be used to push the lever.  This older style will align dead center of the gas lever access hole on the Legacy upper..

FWIW I use virtus barrels on my legacy and leave them flipped to suppressed. 6” blackout works fine with subs and supers no issues.

Anyone out there ever see one of these flash suppressors out in the wild?  Anyone know the dimensions of this animal?  I'd like to make a one off copy of one.  Maybe get a loaner or schematics or simple dimensions?  Not looking to make a run of these, purely a one off for my own consumption.
