I like the magazine release, its just got a bit more purchase. Is it necessary? No, but its nice.

The magwell is nicely flared and fits really well. I think its a very good improvement. However, the area in front of the magwell, where it wraps around, touches your wrist in some instances.

Is it a deal killer? No, but its occupying space your hand likes to use.

Thank you for these. Do you feel like the extended mag release is necessary w/ the flared mag well or no? I just received the extended bolt release and flared mag well for my ODG that should be delivering tomorrow.

I only installed them together, but I would think the little clip on magazine release would be kinda required to really clear the magwell flare. But Im sure it works without it.

The 18" and 20" variants are now available.

Note the safety selector has been redesigned. Greatly improved. It shows the redesigned safety on the 18" and 20" variants, but not the 16" variant. I'm assuming the design change will be implemented for all variants in the future.

The lever arm on the Manticore safety is longer which makes operation easier.

Speaking of Manticore, I am waiting (im)patiently for them to release their next product.

Very happy w/ this purchase.  Threw a spare Holosun 403C I had until I can save up for something better. Need to get a light and a VFG as well.  Can't wait to get it to the range.

Wish that mine was green! But I don't want to go through the process of selling and buying a new one, so I'll stick with black.

Has anyone heard anything about G36 magwells like the original? I seem to remember there was some info that they were being sold by Springfield in other countries with a G36 magwell. I haven’t been able to find anything else about it an I’m beginning to think I imagined the whole thing lol.

Next add on is the Manticore Safety assembly which I will be adding early next year and cant want to see what else they release. Attachment Attached File

Could someone take a pic w/ their stock in, & then the rifle in the same position w/ the stock out so we can get an idea of LOP from the left shoulder?

The LOP is my hang-up.  Granted I've never fired one, but I've handled one. I'm short, and that 16" is incredibly awkward feeling to me, which is too bad because they seem solid otherwise.

How short is short?  I'm 5'9" and I don't think the LoP is that big a deal at all when fully collapsed. Now, I haven't fired mine, but I've been practicing reloads with it to figure out what method of releasing the bolt I like best, and I don't really think it's going to be an issue for me.

I don't think you can necessarily use a person's height as an indicator of how they handle LOP. Arm length would be a better indicator of that.

Im 6'2"
The Hellion LOP is rather long, even on me and I shoot other bullpups. I do prefer my shocks a bit shorter on my non-bullpup guns if that makes sense (14").

I’m 5’11 and the LOP doesn’t bother me … it is one of the only two bullies besides an Aug that I’ve been able to really transition with without feeling I have a 2x6 in my shoulders if that makes sense.

I use Ferro Padded Slingster almost exclusively and will for this one. I use on on my 11.5" SBR w/o issue so I have no doubt it will work fine on this as well.

I got a sling from Strapworks with HK clips. It's okay, not my favorite. But I went with the HK clips because i don't like QD sockets that don't limit rotation.

Clip worked fine on the front metal attatchment point, but I couldn't get it to work on the plastic attachment point on the stock. So I had to use a paracord loop and attach to that.

I don't love it, but it functions.

How is everyone mounting lights to their rifle? I'm wanting to use a Streamlight HL-X, but I've watched a video (that I now can't find) that mentioned a standard straight mount for a scout won't work due to the small bump where the notches of the handguard are.

Also, are there any non-obvious places to make sure oil/grease is applied or to avoid?

This is great for folks needing it, so you have a side by side picture with a VHS-2 that doesn’t have the mod so people can clearly see the change?

I am glad as well ... just waiting on the right mag conversion or mag funnel myself ...

I truly believe ... after trying all the bullpups available to us ... the Hellion is my all-time favorite bullpup platform to date!

It seems almost too simple to be true but the ergonomic improvements of the Manticore curved buttpads are magical.  Completely changed (for the better) the handling of the Tavor 7.  This looks to be just the same.

I'm not bothered by the LOP of the OEM stock but this will be an improvement for a lot of folks in that regard too.

That looks great! I had a curved pad on my SAR before I (stupidly) sold it.  Out of curiosity, is this the shortest the LOP the Hellion can get (ignoring SBR issues)?

Good stuff!

So if someone has an 18” or 20” barrel model, could they get a completely flat version without worrying about SBR since the OAL in longer than the 16” model?
