You clearly chose to miss my point.  I don't see the relevancy of the pool of resources tasked with one or the other either.

I absolutely obtained a FFL and SOT faster than every single suppressor I have ever transferred to my trust or myself personally.  Every single one.

I did a trust Form 4 suppressor on April 25 and nothing so far.  I did two trust Form 1 SBR in July and got them both back in less than 2 weeks.

I might just do my next suppressor as an individual.

Submitted 3 on 4/9.
Approved 3 on 8/6.

Don't think my SSN was on the forms when certifying.  Went through CA. Wasn't asked and I wasn't thinkin about it. We flew through the certifying process.  Didn't realize until a couple days later when I looked at emails.  Thought, "well, shit... maybe I'll get them next year."

Never been "delayed" when buying firearms. There is only one person alive on this Earth that has my birth given name.

Keep your heads up fellas.

I just got one last week that was 4 months, so an improvement from the one before that was 8+. These are all LLC transfers. I may try the next as an individual and see if that gets me into fast form club.

I have reached out via phone twice and both times were given a, it’s in review with no further info or something like that. I reached out today to the NICS and ATF via email and just kept forwarding what the other would say.  Surprisingly, both were helpful after numerous canned/ what seemed like auto responses.  I was not told it would be approved, but was finally told it was in an additional review status but they would not say why.  Only that it was now in a queue to be reviewed for the issue but it is a in order of received type situation.  If 100k people are ahead of me in the  queue,  I’m 100,001 and that’s just the way it is.

I was very polite with all my responses.  I’m probably on some type of list now!

Update…. My two oldest (116 and 103 days) were approved this morning.  Seems odd that they would randomly get approved after all the back and forth emails yesterday. My polite (I really was as polite as I could be) pestering must have helped.  Now waiting on early July submissions.

Update….. my July submissions were approved as well, different dealer.  I did get a batch approval for all submissions.

That's pretty much what happened with my last batch. The oldest was around 8 months when I emailed NICS and they were all returned within a couple days.

I think they just don't get an instant "go ahead" from NICS and move them into some other queue to be forgotten about while NICS does their thing.

Individual form 4 submitted with e-prints through Silencershop kiosk and certified on 4/14 for a Polonium-K. No action until I contacted NFA branch mid-July to ask for a status update and received "in process" or "pending;" I can't remember which was told to me. Contacted my congressman's office shortly after and was told on 8/9 my NICS check was delayed, but was currently in review to "determine your eligibility." Along with that email was an attachment to fill out a VAF application. We'll see how much longer it takes.

If you call, all they will tell you is that it’s in the review status.  It’s going to be NICS/ FBI that is holding it up, not the ATF.  It’s better to email them IMO.

Both approved today!  6 weeks is still way too long (should be instant), but much better than the 6 months I waited for my last can.

Just annoying since I have never had any delay in buying a gun and no criminal record.

Just my posting history in GD.

It is BS for sure.  There is absolutely no reason these should not be done like a normal firearms purchase.  If your state can get you approved in 15-30 min with a quick background check for a firearm or instant approval with a carry license, a suppressor should be as easy.

Just got approved on an individual EForm4 submitted on May 6.  106 days to approval.

I've got 3 others submitted on a trust, but I don't think I've ever heard of batch approvals that covered both individual and trust applications so I'm not getting excited about those yet.

I’ve had batch approvals on an individual and 3 trust cans. The individual approval was less than 24 hrs. The others were multiple days. 4 emails came in one right after the other. It happens sometimes.

I have two form 4’s on a Trust with 1 RP certified on 9/7/23. Still waiting on those two, but since then have been approved on 7 other forms. Talk about efficiency, all seven of those which have been approved were purchased after the two that are outstanding were certified.

My senator’s office has been essentially no help as well.  What a joke.

Only things left are a backorder Polonium that is getting form 3 over from Silencer Shop and two TBAC cans they won't finish until January!

Certified my first suppressor on 5/15/24 under a trust and still waiting.  I emailed ATF Wednesday of last week and they responded Wednesday of this week with the following:

"The current wait times have increased due to a high increase in the volume of applications. However, your form has not been forgotten. Your form is currently in a pending status awaiting examiner review. An examiner will reach out if they need any further verification/additional documents from you."

Most likely a canned response, but I was expecting to have them blame the NICS system, so maybe this is good news.

ECCO F3 transfer to my SOT, submitted eForm 4 individual on 4/16, was approved 31 hours later 4/17. A SilencerShop order (individual) F3 came through on 4/17, same SOT, was submitted and approved 26 hours later 4/17.

Then... Submitted a pair of eForm4 individuals on 7/31, for 2 more ECCOs, same SOT and procedure, and.... crickets. It's now 24 days later. Common name, but SSN supplied, should still be in my record with the SOT's database.

It's not like 9 months like the bad old days (yet), but... Has anyone with a previous fast approval, gone this long? I swear I've been good..
