2018 Corvette Grand Sport 1LT with 55,000 miles. No warranty as I am buying from the owner. $48,500. I hate white cars and this might be the only white car I have ever liked. I chose this over red due to the retracting roof. What am I getting myself into? Good deal? Attached File

I was behind one of those on the way back to Florida last week.
I too have been looking at one now. Already have the NB shoes and jorts, so in for any info. |
|
Does it come with Jean shorts and white new balances?
In all seriousness that’s a slick looking car. |

Same year, slightly cheaper and less miles; $45,700 and 26,000 miles. Also hard top convertible. Z51 3LT with ZR1 body kit. What is the difference from the other?

Throw a 427 in and some type of power adder and you can pass the Amish at any time.

3LT is a ton of upgrades on the interior. The HUD being a big one (at least for me) HUD only comes with 2LT and 3LT iirrc. The body kit is just personal preference. For me, I wouldn't want it on anything but a ZR1.

Our parts manager daily’s a c7 z06. I generally like the looks of it as well as the first car you posted. The second looks like it was modified by a 3rd grader. |

I've been a licensed driver for over 20 years and have never owned anything but a truck. I don't even like cars and I live on a dirt road in the country. That said, I will own a mid-engine Vette in white in the next 5 years. Sexiest car on the planet! Enjoy OP!

Grand sport has Z06 chassis with stingray engine. It's the best C7. |

OP not a white car person but I would buy that one...and I am not sure where all the NB and jorts bullshit comes from, I dont get it

Putting a ZR1 body kit on a Z51 vette is just terrible. Some people have no shame.

And it looks terrible without the widebody fenders. Also keep in mind the 3LTs have issues with the dash peeling/bubbling. I'm far from a Corvette guru but you've said retractable hardtop and convertible hard top, I don't think the C7 ever had those options. Are you just talking about the removable targa top? It's not electric or a true convertible hard top like the C8 has. Someone correct me if I'm wrong |

Love the C-7 but I'm going to get a C-8, it's just a better car in so many ways.
Yes, I've already got a Tommy Bahama shirt. I'll definitely find some New Balances later this year before I get to Bowling Green. That C7 is a badass hotrod |

The 2015 I looked at was an electric hard top convertible. Both vehicles above listed this including #1. Also, resale value? If I snap up #1 for $48k, what can I sell it for in 3 - 4 years? |
|
OP, I toyed with the idea of a C7 for a while, and things I was considering were, if I got one, I would want a front camera on it, since they are super low, and also I've read on the Corvette boards that GSs and ZR1s apparently have had issues with cracked wheels, so I if I had opted for one of those, I was kinda preparing myself to potentially need to replace wheels.
ETA, the cracked wheels thing even resulted in one or more kinda newsworthy lawsuits being filed. If you google for it, I'm sure you'll get info. Not saying that would keep me from getting one, but it's good to be prepared. |

I think Corvettes are cool and iconic sports cars. That looks really nice!
That said, my concern for something like that would be long-term reliability. 55,000 miles with no warranty would make me worry a little about a GM car. Then again, being a GM car, I would imagine that maintenance and repairs would not be insanely expensive. |
|

That price seems decent considering most 2014 Stingrays are going for around that much.
That being said, white exterior is a deal breaker, and red interior is also a deal breaker. |
