Quoted: Yankees are really going all out for a pretty mediocre team. Reminds me of the 2010-11 Rangers who had a completely stacked line up that always seemed to fall short. View Quote I have absolutely no idea what these assholes thing they're doing. They are nine and a half games back. And they got their shit pushed in by Tampa today too. |

Quoted: So we just got swept by the Brewers at PNC. That hurts, but not as much as being outscored in the series 28-3. Top of the 9th, Nogowski pitching, because at this point why not, and throwing just about nothing but Eephus pitches with the very occasional attempt at a fastball. I'm seeing Sherzer and Turner to the Dodgers is pretty much a done deal. I don't understand why we would trade Turner. The next few years watching the Nats rebuild are going to be rough.

Nats trade Daniel Hudson to the Padres.

Quoted: You guys are loading up on prospects View Quote We need them badly, too. We normally call guys up from AA Harrisburg, skipping over AAA. I've watched them play as I live only 10 minutes away. None of the AA team will play in the majors. The talent just is not there like it is normally. |

Who's the real winner here?
Albert Pujols has some hope of another ring. |

Nats reported to be closing in on a deal to trade Yan Gomes to the A's or Blue Jays.

Quoted: So the Pirates have players sweeping up after games and it sounds like the Nats will have the grounds crew playing baseball at this rate. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Nats reported to be closing in on a deal to trade Yan Gomes to the A's or Blue Jays. Well, it's an employee's market right now. I'm sure Spent will have no problem finding another position where he can do the grounds work for free. |

Given a year or two you'll probably have a top 10 system. |

Marcel Ozuna's felony assault charges were dropped by the DA yesterday after reviewing body cam footage from the arresting officers. Apparently the footage didn't match the initial reports, no idea what really happened but he isn't up against felony charges now. Doubtful he will return to play for the Braves, or any team this season since there are still misdemeanor assault charges pending. Crazy relationship those 2 had, she was arrested last year for assaulting him, now they are petitioning for divorce.
ETA: for those not familiar with the case he was arrested for allegedly body slamming his wife against a wall and choking her with police as witnesses. |

Quoted: The pirates only rebuild nuttings wallet View Quote I wonder if the Pirates owner is related to the owner of the Detroit Lions. They seem to have the same business model. Put a crappy team out on the field every year and just collect $$$ from gullible fans who believe that they are trying to build a competitive team. Maybe win one play off game every 10 years or so, or at least get to a play off game every 10 years or so. lol |

If PNC had zero attendance, Nutting still makes about 70 million a year between broadcast rights and various licensing and advertising agreements. Total income is about 300m and total outlay is around 100m between payroll and operations and expenses. |
