Either C-3PO got his arm replaced, like he said he needed to have done, or it was a goof.  Maybe there will be a director's cut with a full subplot about Threepio's arm.

EDIT: Page ownership fail.

Worth the 45 minutes to watch. Also references 3PO's red arm which is supposedly going to be explained in the upcoming movies.

Well, finally saw it.

Pros:
1. Chewy's crossbow stomach shot at kylo on bridge after Solo fell off, f'd him up
2.  Frozen laser blast by kylo's force
3.  BB8 was cool, moved faster than r2 and c3
4.  Daisy Ridley (rey) did a good job
5.  Fin character did well also, tried to be a jedi

Cons:
1. Solo was worn out, not the cocky sob that he was
2. Leia with her non moving upper lip, voice
3. Kylo not even close to the evil of vader, and they got too fancy with his light saber
4. Deathstar planet, really
5. Needed more general ackbar
6.  Where was Lando, was hoping for a surprise appearence during assault of death planet

That's kind of the point of his character....he's still young, conflicted, he hasn't become vader yet but he wants to. I thought it was the first interesting villain in the SW universe since Vader, it was nice to see a villain that isn't sure he has it in him. Made his turn more emotional, more tragic.

I agree.............Kylo isn't yet completely evil, but Snoke said it was time to complete his training..............I'd be willing to bet he will give Vader a run for his money before all is said and done. I liked how they made him incomplete and insecure, and the finished product should be really worthy of The Sith

I loved his mask voice.

For some reason I really like the guy. Shoot, I like all four of them a lot... Kylo, Rey, Finn, Poe... they worked extremely well together IMHO.

Lol, the Falcon's flight profile was unrealistic. I have heard it all.

LoL I know it's a movie, but you watch The Force Awakens, and then you watch the original trilogy, you'll understand.  To put it in simple terms, in The Force Awakens it looks like a kid holding the ships going "pew pew" while playing in his bath tub.  Watch the trilogy, and you'll see they move more like aircraft.

The whole point is that they seem natural in flight.  You don't want to be watching a dogfight scene and be distracted by weirdness.  TFA has shit CGI and there's no way around it.

why would space ships move like aircraft that need lift under their wings?

They would in an atmosphere.

Even if they didnt, due to some type of gravity manipulation drive; they would still be subject to atmospheric friction. So they should still be showing lifting and dragging forces on the air(space)frame.

The Xwings didnt show this and it looked like distracting garbage. That was one of my biggest issues with the movie.

Really?

It's a movie about magic, dudes with swords, lasers and spaceships. Nothing about it is real and there is no reason to expect that the space ships flying on a planet would act like real aircraft. Sometimes, you just need to let go and be a kid. Seriously, there's an entire planet that's basically a flying gun that can destroy entire solar systems. Just. Let. Go.

Why the heck can they never put the deleted scenes back into the movie when it goes to DVD release?

For a high profile movie like this?
So they can have an Extended Cut out just in time for Rogue One.

And an Ultimate Director's Cut to coincide with EpVIII.

Some aren't even finished shots, then there's the issue of scoring and editing them so they fit...a lot of times the scene was shot and the establishing footage wasn't...so there's no way to cram it in without it seeming super fucking awkward.

It depends. There's movies that were shot in a longer form that were then edited down to a theatrical cut so the deleted scenes were retained for the DVD and work good (Aliens), but in the case of SW it looks like a lot of them weren't deleted per se, just never included.

I only bought the blu ray so my family could borrow it

I literally have less than 10 movies on disk, everything else is digital.

amazon gave me a refund and told me to keep the disk, so I bought the digital version with the refund money

Sometimes players run into code on certain disks that causes them to fail.  If you have kept the operating system on your PS4 up to date then  it should be OK and the disc is probably bad.

Didn't like his voice at all the first time around.  Watched it again.  Changed my mind.  The voice worked.

Also, what's the big deal with Captain Phasma?  Is she supposed to be some bad ass?  (Which she certainly didn't convince me she was.)  Or just a administrative appointee who oversees the Storm Troopers?    Her importance was not particularly clear to me.

Yeah, I didn't quite get Captain Phasma either. In the lead up to the movie's release to theater they kept showing her and I kept thinking she was going to be this bad ass Dark Trooper who tore shit up. Then I saw the movie and was completely let down and disappointed in that she served virtually no point in the movie. I hope they develop her character more. I mean the unnamed trooper with shield and PR-24 style baton thing who went up against an inexperienced Finn wielding a lightsaber he clearly had no clue how to use was way cooler than Phasma.

Oh yeah, and Boba Fett is fucking awesome. Y'all are just jealous at how awesome Mandalorians are.

That's kind of the point of his character....he's still young, conflicted, he hasn't become vader yet but he wants to. I thought it was the first interesting villain in the SW universe since Vader, it was nice to see a villain that isn't sure he has it in him. Made his turn more emotional, more tragic.

Kylo's voice with mask on was good, creepy

Didn't like his voice at all the first time around.  Watched it again.  Changed my mind.  The voice worked.

Also, what's the big deal with Captain Phasma?  Is she supposed to be some bad ass?  (Which she certainly didn't convince me she was.)  Or just a administrative appointee who oversees the Storm Troopers?    Her importance was not particularly clear to me.

She's the new Boba Fett...great armor, hype, and totally fucking useless.

Supposedly she gets a bigger role in the next movie.

God I hope not.  I really wish I could forget Force Awakens and just move onto the next two movies.  Phasma was supposed to die while chasing the Falcon through the Star Destroyer.  She somehow ended up on the planet and served no purpose except to be the new Boba Fett.  Then got thrown down a trash compactor as the planet blew up.  Please don't tell me she somehow survives just to give more context to the fans saying "wtf is this?"

Did they get knocked out when they were inside and their uniforms taken?

A lot of them did look rough but there were a fee that would've been cool to see. Especially the Snow troopers searching the Falcon.

No, would've been hard to pull that off without alerting Kylo Ren.

IDK   C3PO is one character I wish they would flush out an air lock.

C3PO is there and he is waving with his left arm and it is a gold arm, not a red arm like the previous appearances...  What's up with that?

Flesh....

I've always liked C3PO, but he unfortunately served absolutely no purpose in this movie. And the arm thing served no purpose.  Actually, there are a number of characters that served no purpose in this movie, except to rehash the original trilogy.

JJ Abrams did to Star Wars what Michael Bay did to Transformers.

Worth the 45 minutes to watch. Also references 3PO's red arm which is supposedly going to be explained in the upcoming movies.

That was FN-2199, played by Liang Yang and voiced by David Acord.
According to the official backstory he was a member of Finn's fire team.

And yeah, Phasma was a disappointment.
