Got a Husqvarna 435 for a few years now. Bought it on a deal posted on arfcom for refurb chainsaws after a hurricane season.

Put an 18" bar on it, instead of 16" and is way better to use. Also, put a new carb on it.

Great little saw.

That was a parts saw, I may play with it one day.

Nope, those little saws have chrome bores, and the chrome is only a few thousands thick.
No polishing, or honing that out.

Bad idea...
Muriatic acid is used to dissolve chrome from steel, and if there is any chrome flaked off the aluminum cylinder, the aluminum dissolves even quicker.
If the chrome isn't hurt, a standard cylinder will take off the aluminum very quickly, while the chrome is pretty much abrasion proof, unless you have a diamond hone.
Sunnen is about the only people who make diamond hones.

MS361 exhaust port opened up and polished.
Need to true up the heat shield mount area and on to the intake port.
Light reflections look wavy, it's not.

I just re read your post. Polished exhaust port is very good but when you do the intake port you do not need to go crazy polishing it. You want the air to be turbulent to really mix up the air and fuel. Rough surface is ok on the intake.

My 461 on a decent sized cherry tree a few seasons back. It's got a 28-inch Light Bar, Stihl skip-tooth, WCS Bark Box, WCS 3-points, and a Uni Filter. The 362 has a ported inner baffle, Bark Box, WCS air cleaner, and a 20 or 25-inch bar. The 201 has a ported exhaust and WCS 3-points, and a 16-inch Light Bar. Can't recommend the full-wrap bars enough on the big saws; I'll never go back.

Great saws. Had one not too long ago, sold it to fund a brand new 372XP OE - which is a bit of a downgrade in the CC/Power, but I wanted a 372 OE bad.

Tempted to grab one for my 572XP.  Only $45 bucks on Amazon.

******
I recently replaced a whole bunch of old files and gauges.  Got bored yesterday and cobbled together a little organizer out of some spare pine boards.  License plate for scale.

A carpenter I am not, but it is serviceable considering I was just using a crappy little crosscut hand saw.

I find the 28 to be the ideal length, but whatever you do, spend the extra for the Light. It's awesome.

I made the mistake of getting my 362 without the full-wrap and had a helluva time chasing down the correct parts kit to fit it; cost a few bills off eBay but it also came with the large "West Coast" side-cover, which you also definitely want. When I heard Stihl was discontinuing the 461 with the 462, I decided to splurge and ordered one with the full-wrap handle and 28-inch Light Bar.

Couple more pics for the thread.

Hurricane Florence cleanup went well into December down here. The only saw I had at the time was the very saw I learned with, the only heirloom I've ever inherited, my grandfather's old Stihl 011AVT. It still runs great and I use it as much as I can to keep 'er in good shape. She sounds a lot like Clark W. Griswold's saw in Christmas Vacation.

Me and the 201-T in action on a really small stick at a buddy's house in town. First one I ever climbed properly with spurs and a bucking strap. Pretty fun, actually, but I'd recommend a larger tree.

Big leaning pine I dropped with the 461 using a bore-cut.

Hard to see but I'm that black blob way up in this river birch with my 201; we pieced this thing down to keep it off a buddy's house using the light-duty boom-lift you see extended up.

Then we wedged her over and put the rest on the deck. No sweat. Just another side-hustle. Saturdays are for the fk'n BOYS!

I'd go with Sugi just cause the name sounds cool.
I run Stihl lights on my Stihls..20"..25"..36"
Big ass difference on a Stihl steel 36" bar vs light 36" bar.

A poster in another thread said that the 28" light was a perfect match for the 500i, I don't have the 28", but would agree with his statement.

The difference/percentage in weight is precisely what they claim. I scooped a 16-inch Light for my 201 and tossed both bars on the scale to see for myself. Sure enough, the numbers didn't lie. Same with the big bars.

Current items are a Stihl MS 290 I've had for about 12 years and a  Stihl HT 250 about 5 years old.  Previous machines no longer present included craftsman & poulan machines.   The MS 290 came with a 16" bar but is currently fitted with a 20". It saw a lot of use when we did the initial cleanups around the NC house when we moved in in 2010, mostly clearing deadfalls & standing dead wood.   I got the HT 250 for trimming limbs around field margins to make field cutting easier at the acreage.  The wife has been using a 40v Kobalt 12" for a few years in her "woodscaping" around the house when not using one of the Silky folding saws.  She just got an upgrade as a birthday present, a Stihl MSA 220 16" along with an AP300 battery & AL300 charger.
