Week one improvement...

Best half mile: 3:20

Best mile: 7:30

Not bad for 49 yrs old with ban knees, ankles etc and not running in over 6 months.

Thank god for icy hot and motrin, still think monster is my soda of choice. It goes down better than the coke, hopefully it doesn't blow up my heart.

Heart rate at ten seconds is about 28 beats/168 per min.

Think I will be good on cardio, time to work on the salmon wall and making a sled to practice the sled pull.

we're likely going to exchange the salmon ladder for something different, but equally horrible, this fall

Upped the 2 days a week running thing to 5 days a week workout plus meal plan deal about a month and a half ago lost 15lbs so I’m back at 165lbs. Now just want to get more muscle . Sad part is I’m gonna miss it this year between school work and clinicals can’t get it off this time. So no weirdo with a x95 passing around bottles of home made mead around the fire at east this year.

Nothing broke, giving it until Monday to see how the swelling drops and probably MRI, he's almost positive there's ligament or tendon damage.
The problem today is 10 years ago I had surgery to repair a ruptured tendon on my other ankle, putting pressure on it the last few days has now caused it to start burning so I'm scared of screwing it up, I know I didn't completely tear one as I've felt that before.
ETA: I may have just retired

Day 1 of being less fat:  Mowed my lawn by hand for 45 minutes in a 22 pound plate carrier.

Day 2 of being less fat: Bowflex workout (hey, it's what I got): Bench press, resisted ab crunches, chest fly, lat pull down and overhead press.  All while wearing plate carrier.

Not doing strict keto or paleo, but going little to no carb and as much protein and fat I can ingest for diet.  Stopped drinking beer for now.  If I need a drink it will be Bourbon.

Hopefully by SE#3 I can compete at night combat.

the only reason I got through Keto was that bourbon and cigars are kosher.

Eat big, Lift big, Sleep big.

Sleep is the one I always short myself on.  Wonder what I could do with a full 8 hours every night?  (usually 4-6)

Yesterday
Morning PT was the new army standard of Prep Drills, and CD 1 and 2, bleh.
after class...
High bar squats at some variation of 5x5x3x3x1

RDL 5x10ish

I added some gut check stuff to my workout yesterday

threw 4 plates on a prowler sled and clipped on a rope. Dragged it the length of the rope ( 20ft) and then shoved the prowler till the rope was straight again. Mildy vomit inducing to do this 5 times with about 45 secs of rest between reps.
