The wife and I have ordered matching versions. The upholstery piping in hers will be pink. We plan to have them shipped to our cabana on Turks and Caicos so we have something to drive around in. Looking at seats for the mini giraffe.

There is a 18-19 year model AMG 60 something running around here. It stands out so much that I had to look it up. Ridiculous specs on a turbo diesel.
I'd say it gets more looks from men than women though. YOLO |

I own a MB (granted it's an E class), and there's no way I can see how MB justifies 1/4 million for a G class. Like others have said, if you really want one, look on the used market. Especially a gray market import, but it's going to be quite spendy compared to the competition. If you pick up a diesel, the maintenance bills are not half bad, it's when you get into the AMGs is where the maintenance get stupid.

My neighbor has one but rarely drives it. He drives it more than his lamborghini and rolls Royce convertibles though. Most of the time he’s in his mid sized Mercedes suv

I think the best bang for the buck is a D110 imported from Spain/Italy, then LS swapped. A friend of mine bought a 110 5 speed diesel last year that had been rebuilt in Italy, leather seats, A/C power windows, etc. It gets more attention and is more capable off road than a G Wagon. He paid $56k... smoking deal.

Holy fucking mark up. That is a $180k vehicle if loaded out.
The previous generation drove like shit on the road, the new ones drive well and are comfortable. The AMG is ridiculous and just for bragging rights, the non-AMG is fine and has the grill guard in the proper place. They are actually smaller in person, I cannot decide if I like them or not. The tan ones look good though, get one in tan. |

My daughter has a 2020 G63. Fucking amazing machine and has had no issues at all. The guy that said $1000/month in maintenance is dead wrong. The market is insane for them. She paid less than $200k and had had offers of $275k to sell it.
