If you use an auto you gotta use a PGO shotgun (spirit of the 80s).

There should probably be a magazine cap limit too.

Of course we are referencing a very popular weapon of the 80s.

But now I'm starting to imagine a "dumpster defense" theme match.

Would women be allowed if everyone has to be shirtless?

Side note.

I have a real hankering to see Shockwave style shotguns used in shooting matches. That sporting purpose clause that keeps coming back up even though it was an idea invented by Nazis.

Cool we can get a bread truck and have a “can you fly Bobby” stage where you toss out a dummy prior to shooting.

I love shooting rifles in matches, but the rifle greatly increases the complexity of running a match, especially if you want any sort of “rifle worthy” ranges for targets.

Part of the beauty of the handgun/shotgun concept is that you can set it up pretty much anywhere you can shoot a “pistol” match.

M1 Carbine is a fantastic “patrol long gun”.  Until the general availibity to LE of solid 5.56 rifles it was pretty much the best choice.  I’d take the little Carbine over any shotgun any day of the week.

IIRC the Israelis still use them for “internal security” stuff.

That has to be a rule.

All ties have to be clip on. If not then the RO gets to grab it and use it to pull your head into his fist, multiple times.

Roll shooting stage

Jackrabbit rifle popup stage that transitions into 'rabbit' sporting clay 9mm mag dump
Shotgun from moving car window stage
maybe a long range rifle stage with friendly/hostile scoring
