Not much needs to be said, really. I find no evidence anywhere to point to Mr. Monroe having had a change of heart with respect to constitutionality of the second shot or ROE. Nowhere have I seen him on record about the lessons learned from the tragedy, other than saying chiefly the following: 1: He concentrated only on armed males and did not fire because he did not have a clear shot. 2: He considered the ROE to be a green light to shoot armed males on sight. 3: He believed the second shot was constitutional. Unless evidence to the contrary is proven, I can only assume that he has been promulgating flawed "lessons learned" for the last 20 years. Troy has done nothing to reassure me that he is preventing another tragedy by giving him a paid position as an official representative of the company. I made the following comment late this morning in another thread: View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Troy has done nothing to reassure me that he is preventing another tragedy by giving him a paid position as an official representative of the company. I made the following comment late this morning in another thread: Someone is locked in an office right now, doing a risk-benefit matrix. Potential lost consumer sales on one side. On the other: potential lost government contracts and expenses related to severing a trainer's contract. I have too little faith in them, especially after their "you don't understand dynamic situations" claim, to believe it will come down to anything other than finances. Color me cynical, but I think they are going to with the lucrative training revenue stream. They hired these guys for halo branding and networking. I think they knew exactly what was on their resumes, and wanted to monetize it. And that is a great summarization. Money > Freedom and the Law We are recalling 2 pieces of shit here in CO. This is the first time in the history of the state this has been done, and it is entirely a grassroots effort. It now seems there is an entity in MA that needs a "recall". It can be done. ETA - Don't forget Smith, Ruger, and everyone else that uses this "person's" gear. ETA2 - What is Arfcom management's position on this? Is the enemy now welcome here because of money? |

So that troy sight on my noveske I've had for years? Its meeting mr sledge when I'm home.

And then Troy's getting a new sales manager who's not afraid to "scramble a few eggs" to get the job done!

On principle, very understandable, but ultimately it's your own gear, and it's pre-Monroe stuff. Might want to hang onto it for another reason, too. Remember the whole ARMS/Larue thing? Worked out well for those who hung onto their ARMS shit when Larue offered to replace it for free. |

I'm actually saddened by this, I hoped Troy would see the light in the end. However, based on my own insight into the events - as well as the evidence now available, I regret to say that I am no longer a Troy customer. I thought long and hard to avoid a "knee-jerk" reaction to what might have been chaff in the wind, but I think I've reached that point. It's a shame really... View Quote Ain't that some shit. |

Got the aim email..they're blowing out Troy mags at $9 per. The were 12 a couple of weeks ago. I think they're rightly trying to get in front of the ground swell backlash that's coming.

Glad to see the adults in the room didn't listen to the whining of petulant children. Good for Troy. They will have a solid training staff with LE support after thw GWOT winds down.

[tinfoil]Unless Troy planned this.[/tinfoil] I don't think they planned this, but they clearly aren't too worried., They likely had branched into training as a way of diversifying and insulating against fickle retail sales. They weathered the Dick's fiasco, which ultimately probably affected their bottom line much more than this episode. |

View Quote I'm retired LE, and the oath I took means just as much today as it did 25 years ago. They don't have my support, nor will they have the support of any other Constitutionally-aware cop I've ever known. They might be supported by CLEOs of the usual sort, and cockthrottling statists. YMMV, of course. |

Pretty sure the GWOT is like the WOD in that it will not be winding down any time soon.

Troy mags look fairly easy to break. I bet the company is not much tougher.

Well, there goes my Troy rail and sights. I'll be passing this on to everyone I know. The LEO friend I recommended the Troy rail to is gonna be pissed when he finds out he has to take it off of his patrol rifle. No worries, that new MI rail will take it's place just fine. Now if Magpul will just hurry up with their new sights.
For the record, I have one rail and a pair of sights from Troy. I planned on at least two more rails and two more pairs of sights in the near future for an SPR and 300 Blackout build. My dad just went with the new MI rail for his build on my recommendation due to Troy's actions. I can't believe a company in such high standing would go so full retard like this. Fuck you Troy. We need to urge site sponsors to stop carrying Troy products. |

As of this post I no longer have any Troy gear, unless I find some more buried in a parts box or something.
Anyone want to buy a Troy challenge coin? It might make a nice bulls-eye. |

Troy Industries.
Troy was the city invaded by the Trojans, right? They sent in the 'Trojan horse' and made the place famous. Troy industries...an ironic name. Either they want to invite the pain onto themselves and hire these guys, who worked to destroy our society from within, or they are simply star-fuckers who hoped that a famous name would be bring them accolades? I'm torn on the irony of this all. Because, Trojans are also famous condoms. Either way, Troy is fucked. Jim Zumbo is laughing and keeping his mouth shut all at the same time. TRG |

There are many other manufacturers out there, and they will be getting my money.
