Rifle is probably my favorite to shoot, though I enjoy pistol shooting. I actually like shotguns (alot) but don't do as much shotgun shooting as I might hope- clays a time or two per year, occasional tactical shotgun matches  and shotgun stages in multi-gun matches, and hunting.

Rifle is my sport because they don't have f-class for pistol(yet)

Pistol is last resort maybe I hit somebody before they hit me.

I'm a Rifle guy.  Rifles kick ass.  Pistols are cool too, but rifles are where it's at.  As for scatterguns...well...I don't like them.  I've tried to like them, I've owned and shot many and I just can't keep them around.  They are always the first thing to go when I need a little extra cash to finish/buy a rifle or pistol.

The only Shotgun I own, and will never get rid of is a 12ga bolt action JC Higgins 583.17 my Grandpa bought when he was twelve.  I haven't shot it and I am well aware of the safety recall.

The correct answer would be "YES" to all three options. Why limit yourself??

You don't, but most people have preference in all things.

Shoot pistol better/more often.  Sons rifle intrigue has me adjusting accordingly.

I prefer shooting rifles.  I'm probably better relative to most shooters with a pistol though.  I consider myself a better than average shooter with both and mediocre with shotgun.

I shoot my shotgun more than anything else by far.

Rifle for sure

If it was socially acceptable to carry a rifle everywhere id never touch a pistol again.

I'm a better shot with a rifle, but I use pistols and shotguns more due to work.  I would not feel undergunned with just an 870 and my G19.

I am a rifle person, my first weapon I ever shot was HK33.  Although I did play around with a Colt M16a1 as well.  I  have owned more rifles than pistols/ shotguns combined.

Nowaday, I actually enjoy shooting Glock pistol as well, mainly the full size frame like G20/21/40.  The Tisas 1911 9mm Duty is a dream to shoot.  I am getting a G48 soon, hopefully, I will be just as good as my other pistols.

Shotgun?  Owned several pump models made by Mossberg:  500, 590, 590a1, 590 in nickel finish- sadly I only had a total of less than 40 shells through them over the years.  Recently just got a Mav88 12 ga, Mav88 20 ga,  a police trade-in 590a1, A300 patrol and 1301 past six months- already pushed past 200 slugs.   Still I consider these as short range weapon and I am not quite comfortable with them.

Pistolero - I've easily got hundreds of times more rounds through a pistol than a rifle.  Until I was 21, I was a shotgunner.  My dad joked he wrecked his shoulder throwing clays for me.  I recognize a rifle is more useful overall then a handgun but all the ranges I have easy access to around here are too short to give a rifle much of a challenge, so I get bored quickly with a rifle.

A pistol is what you use to get back to your rifle.

Rifle cuz I suck at pistol

Used to be a pistol-heavy guy and did much better with them. Didn’t get my first AR pattern rifle until 2006. Now I do far more dry fire training on rifle and think my pistol skills have suffered because of it.
