I had an 88 Mercury cougar LS like that, but it was black with a porno red interior. It was my daily driver for a couple years.

I ended up getting one as well years later.  Some guy had kept it in his garage for 20 years, only 60K miles.  Drove it for a couple years and traded it in.

Now I just want something with a turbo and a manual transmission.

The ‘68 Chrysler Newport I had just purchased for $100 (this was in 1985)

It was a rusted-out heap but it was MY car.

At 16 mine was a Porsche 911.  Sold my 911 for my first MKIV Supra and still have one.  My two favorite sports cars.  Only with turbos of course.

Same. Bought one at 19. Terrible purchase financially at first, could barely afford it. But I loved that car and kept it for 10 years.

Always wanted exotics when I was 12. At 15 I saw my first DSM smoke every exotic in town. That became my dream car. I owned one before I had my license.  Drug it out of a field with a blown turbo. Still have one to this day and even after owning some semi exotic cars it's still my favorite by far.

1968 Toyota Land Cruiser. It was $2,000 new. It might as well been $200,000.

Thats a nice ride! Always liked that model. The one right after it was such a disappointment in comparison. I still love tuners, I just prefer off roading to racing now a days. So my dream "car", isn't a car at all, but rather a truck. I didn't mean to diss tuners. Still have found memories of when my older brother beat a shinny new Z06 Corvette in his SR20 swapped & boosted Sentra SE-R. That thing was so crappy looking, the Corvette owner almost didn't race him. Guy ended up giving my brother props once the clapped out Nissan managed to edge ahead on the Vette.

Good choice - both grays and silver are all discontinued after MY2022. The only grey color for MY2023 is the copper-grey that comes on the limited manual-only A91s.

1977 Special Edition Trans AM. I did get the car, but after realizing it was ride, wrench, repeat for several years I sold it. Just got tired of constantly have to work on it, and I didn't have a good place to store it. Sold it 23 years ago. Although sometimes wish I had kept it.
