Quoted: Tomorrow is new chainsaw day. Finally said fuckit on trying to get my shitty old Poulan running well. Plus the chain tensioner broke. It was made out of cheap plastic so no big surprise. Thinking I'll go buy a Stihl, but I thought about one of the Ego 56v cordless jobs. They're supposed to be pretty damn good. My only concern is using it in a place where I can't recharge the batteries. View Quote You mean Husqvarna, right. |

You must be a girlie man with your referencing that cordless as one of the best, bc it sure ain’t the stihl. Spare parts. -MCW |

I don't need anything fancy or very big. I'll mainly use it to occasionally cut up some firewood. Echo has an awesome reputation in that size range, if you're still shopping around. We used what they call a limbing saw, has the handle on the top of the saw as opposed to the rear. 14in bar or so. They were great. Owned a pile of them. They were replaced by hydraulic pole saws for that particular job. |

@MCW
had a transmission put in the LOLFord a few weeks ago. Been driving it ever since, bumpy dirt roads and such. Friend called from the shop, “hey, mechanic left a ratchet, extension, and socket in a spot under the radiator or so. He doesn’t care about the tools, but doesn’t want it to come out on the highway and hit a car or whatever”. Me “uh, I’m sure it’s long gone by now.” I pooped the hood and saw this: Attached File |

We had a psycho bull like that once. He would go over or through the nearest fence if you came within 50 yards of him. Either that or try to run you over.
We finally got him to follow some cows into the trailer so we could haul him to the sale barn. As soon as we latched the gate and pulled away he threw himself against the gate amd busted the latch open and away he went. Eventually got him loaded into the trailer again by starting to put feed in it. We waited until he went in to eat and slammed the gate, now with a reinforced latch. Dad hauled him to the auction and told the guys to put him in a high fenced pen but they blew him off. As he was getting back in the truck to drive away he heard someone yell "He's jumping the fence!" Dad just laughed and drove away. |

He's a few levels below that, but definitely in the realm of "If his ass gets in a trailer the only place he gets out is the sales barn" |
