I'm sitting here watching CNN and their priming the NPC's to get all butt hurt about what the new guy is going to do to the Russian collusion investigation.
It occurred to me the absolute best way for Trump to troll the shit out of them is to have his new guy do NOTHING about Mule-ears probe and just immediately appoint a special council to go after HRC/Obama/Holder/etc instead. Trump can then go out and state that Sessions is gone because we knew and you have seen ( talking to the public ) the laws broken that HRC and cronies have committed and Sessions would do nothing, the rule of law must be upheld, drop the fucking mike and walk off. |

Going out on a limb with a prediction, MGW is going to tighten the screws financially on Mueller's team by drying funding up so they don't have unlimited $$$$ to burn. That has already been discussed.
Mueller's team will be 'downsized'. A totally new experience for federal employees to have(I'm going to relish the schadenfreude). Mueller is going to be the little cyka that he is and release parts or all of a report to the public. And he is going to get nailed for that and fired. Willing to wager a PMag on that scenario. |

Good. Puts a nice fly in the democrats ointment on a day when they are celebrating muh house win.

Mueller said he would release his findings after the mid-terms. Well the midterms are over. Whitaker should demand Mueller wrap up and release his findings so far, to determine what happens next. If he can't release then them Mueller needs to be fired for failing to do his job. Two years and he has yet to release anything showing any wrong doing on Trump's part.

Collins and Romney have already put out statements on twitter saying that Mueller's investigation must be allowed to continue. Gotta laugh at a junior senator that had to run off to Utah (because he couldn't win election anywhere else) trying to tell the president what to do.

Mr. Magoo was the biggest mistake of Trump's presidency.
1) Sessions recusal was bullshit. 2) Sessions refusal to order a second special council to investigate the deep state abuse of FISA and spying on the Trump campaign was also bullshit. 3) It all cost us a senate seat and hurt us in the midterms. Hillary, McCabe, Stzrok, and LP should have been indicted already. I suspect we will soon see a second special council - perhaps even a third. I suspect Hillary will get one for the uranium. I suspect there will be one for the abuse of the FISA court. And I suspect both will end up at the obama administration. I think Sessions knew this, and didn't have the balls to be responsible for the first black president in jail. |

Fox News has their tinfoil on, says this is part of something bigger. With a large majority in the Senate Trump should clean freaking house at the DOJ/FBI. Just put someone in charge and fire lawyers like they're going out of style. You get a pink slip, and you get one, and you get one! Go work for some liberal ass law firm where you came from buddy... Let someone decent rehire at the DOJ just the opposite of how Holder did; hiring only conservative lawyers (if there are enough available). Holder set the standard on hiring only lefties so I see it as the beginning of a DOJ equilibrium with hopefully a tinge of conservative leaning. FBI? Hey Wray, how's it going? Yeah, I know, you were afraid to do anything and Rod was sort of you know pushing your buttons. Here's the deal buddy, fix stuff RFN or I got a very friendly Senate that can figure out what to do when I fire your ass. Oh, all of your local yokel leadership who have been trained to worry about muh-feelz of Muslims vs. actually doing stuff about crime? Well, they need retrained, we need info updated from Phil Haney, we need to get back into the business of going after criminals and it doesn't matter who they are. See all those new DOJ AUSAs and leaders over there? They need cases... |

So not that I closely follow the Saudi Thread. But how many times were we told to "Trust Sessions" View Quote Lots of radio personalities also said the same thing. Apparently there were/are things going on behind the scenes regarding the leak investigations and McCabe's grand jury. That said, it was SLOOOOOOOW walked through the DOJ on purpose and the leak investigation lead to a half-assed 1001 charge against James Wolfe instead of what it should have been. My guess is with the House coming under D control Trump sees now is the time to flush the DOJ toilet and get his people in there to actually get things moving/happening but more importantly leverage against any action the Dems might take. If the Dems realize that subpoenaing Trump's records (name the record here, they'll ask for it) and investigating him will result in more info being revealed and possible prosecutions Trump has leverage. With Mueller probably going away soon there won't be that hanging over Trump's head. As much as I want Trump to burn them all down he needs to leverage what he can against these political and bureaucratic monsters. |

I gotta say that I'm really saddened that Jeff didn't do much besides sit around during his time as AG (it appears so, on the surface). I had spent some time here defending the man, and I apologize to you guys. I expected better, knowing his professional and personal reputation. I'm sure that Jeff has a good reason for what he did, but I don't know what it is.
This is a good move and needs to happen. I hope whomever replaces him does a bang-up job and starts cleaning house. |

Sessions apparently construed "Law and Order" to include, well, "Law" enforcement. Odd. 3) His departure from the senate flipped a seat to the democrats in Alabama, apparently for nought. Sessions was a good Senator. He certainly did good work in Justice. The fact that he didn't do the work people here wanted him to doesn't change that. His legacy will be restoring honor and credibility to Justice. I wish he'd take his seat back in Alabama. I still wish he'd stood Hilary up against a wall and gave her a blindfold. |
