Past time to mandate separate elections, one for state & local ballots & let the state go police themselves. Federal elections that effect the total nation held separate; application of citizenship requirements, registration, identification & certification.

I'm not too knowlegeble about how they count votes. It just seems like, with how advanced technology is today and how important elections are, there should be a system in place that makes it impossible to miss a single vote. It seems like this system is meant to be abused. Also whenever I hear a recount why is it always the Democrats getting the recount and finding these magical missing votes. Any instances of Republicans demanding a recount, getting it, and coming out ahead of the Democrats? I could be way off base about all of that of course.
