Quoted: Me either. I love my mom dearly, but she's a terrible cook. Very rarely we'd have scrambled eggs. Usually microwaved. Luckily I learned to cook pretty well and married someone who's even better at it than I am. Most weekends either my wife or I make at least one nice breakfast. Waffles, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burritos, omelettes, etc. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: It's true I'd rather have a cheeseburger for breakfast. I really was too poor for bacon and eggs and fancy shit like OJ as a kid, so I never got the taste for it Cooked breakfast was never a thing for me growing up (I "discovered" it when I started working in London). I was lucky to get cardboard cereal and milk for breakfast. It was cereal or something that could be popped in a toaster for us. Eggo waffles, pop tarts, and on fancy days we might get toaster strudels. Cooked breakfast wasn't a thing for us either. I love my mom dearly, but she's a terrible cook. Most weekends either my wife or I make at least one nice breakfast. Waffles, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burritos, omelettes, etc. My mother, rest her soul, was not a great cook and didn't have time to cook much. That's why I taught myself to cook when I went to college. Ok, I did it to impress girls and get in their pants but a secondary benefit was eating better. |

I dialed up to a bbs a few minutes ago. Practical Peripherals PM288MT II V.34 external modem, same one I've had since the 90's. Serial interface I built, plugged into the 64C. Dial a *99, before the number to enable fax mode on Ooma, and it worked. Of course, the BBS I called was only at 2400, but, hey, it worked.

To be honest, my wife wasn't a great cook when we met in college. But she learned really quick when she found out how much I like to eat. Her mom and sister are both incredible cooks but she surpassed them both once she figured out that was the way to my heart. |

Quoted: You want the Dopple's Grandfather's stuffing recipe? I never met him, but nearest I can figure he was kinda like the dad in A Christmas Story, the description of the spare tire is what sounded familiar. I like to do a white bread stuffing with lots of sage sausage, for Thanksgiving I jazz it up with chestnuts and apples. |

Quoted: A.Bauer's mustard is great. Used to get that from the deli 3 doors down when I was a kid. All the time I was growing up, I never knew lunch meat ever came in ziplock bags. The deli always wrapped it in wax paper, then butcher's paper. And wrote the price on it with a grease pencil. I don't think I ever had prepackaged lunch meat at home until we moved to NY. All they make is mustard. That's it. No mayo. No breads. No italian dressing. Nuttin. Just mustard. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Cheese and mustard.
