Fellow ARFCOMers, let me pause here to point out that we are in the middle of a historic thread, regardless of whether things are really happening or if this is just a nothing burger.
Ten years from now we will be saying to some noob 29er that "Remember the Atlanta PD thread that went so fast it broke ARFCOM?" to which someone will reply "yeah, I got in on page one" or "Dude, I was the guy who broke page 21". Brothers, we are making history even as we shitpost. ETA: kncook will be remembered as either an ARFCOM legend or a troll of epic proportions. |

I'm sure you can find the thread if you want. I'm not going there. Do they suggest what to replace them with? Doesn't look like they've thought that far ahead. I am heading to Macon tomorrow unarmed? Yeah! |

The statement I read is:
"Earlier suggestions that multiple officers from each zone had walked off the job were inaccurate. However, department is experiencing a higher than usual number of call outs with the incoming shift. We have enough resources to maintain operations and remain able to respond to incidents throughout the city." Now, whether the department is telling FOX the truth, I dunno. |

And we're supposed to believe his info is credible? No actual quantifiable information like # of people scheduled vs # of people scheduled, or explaination why are dispatches silent, etc Half the places he went to were closed, might be due to protests, might be because they are understaffed. Fact one precinct went straight to the "talk to our PR department" tells me enough. |

I'm monitoring 123.025, the air-to-air heli frequency used by media and police to announce their locations, from SE ATL and there is nothing happening right now. It's very quiet.
Even if the wokes were to act on rumors, there are no flames that are newsworthy yet... |
