We travel a lot for work. The first thing I do is look for the MLK blvd and then try to rent as far from it as possible.

You should write more posts like this, and fewer like the rage monster posts from earlier, or the ones insisting Miami was seriously trying to incite violence.

He was going a bit psycho trying to out-Internet-tough-guy everyone, but the obvious goal of his hyperbole was to get across the idea, "Well yeah, it's easy for you to say, because you're expecting me to do all the work."  He was comparing apples to oranges enough to look bad, but in no way was he actually trying to incite you to blow up a building, and you know it.

You were both being overly antagonistic, and that's not great, but it happens.  Dishonestly characterizing someone in a cynical, manipulative way on purpose is worse.  It's bearing false witness, and it's poison.  It's what the media does to slander innocent people and movements, and it's what our enemies do to intimidate people into silence: To them, the truth doesn't matter, only crushing your opponent.  If you want to help save the goddamn world from what's coming -- and yes, those are the stakes -- you need to at least hold yourself to a moral standard higher than that.

I want to give your intentions the benefit of the doubt here, because people doubted mine when I first started posting (and probably still do), and I became very unpopular when I got all autistic about trying to defend myself.  However, if you really want to help "bring balance to the force," coming so hard at everyone isn't going to help.

In your above post -- the good one -- you seem to be understating your disapproval of police, and I get the sense that you have more of an anarcho-capitalist NAP-uber-alles mindset.  If so that's okay, and I think the world could use some more respect for the NAP as well...but we have no time for judgmental pissing contests between anarchist and minarchist libertarians anymore, or even libertarians and conservatives.

People here are always going to have different opinions about where cops stand, but if we keep wasting our time viciously fighting ourselves in circles without any respect or empathy, we are going to die, and I mean that literally.  We are going to die, and our families are going to die.  It's not going to happen this week or even this year, but the walls are closing in.  The globalists want to pervert, destroy, and humiliate the dream of America forever, and in the process they're using useful idiot communist agitators to create the environment for violent purges.  We do not have the luxury of hating each other anymore.

We honestly have no idea where most cops and departments stand, because the only ones we hear about are the ones bad enough to make the news.  It's not an unbiased sample, or even large enough to be otherwise representative.

It's possible the silent 95% are itching to turn us into Kelly Thomas or Daniel Shaver, and it's possible they're the second coming of Andy Griffith.  Odds are the center of the bell curve is somewhere in between.  I doubt many would see eye to eye with me on most things, but I still have hope that most have lines they will not cross, and a point at which they would decide, "This is my hill to die on, and I'm siding with the good people who just want to be left alone."

Miami..I don’t disagree with anything you said above. But being a civil servant puts you squarely in the crosshairs of ridicule and second guessing. If you hope to win the community back you have got to stop attacking them when they find fault in LE. I’m pretty sure I have seen you post numerous times sharing your distaste for the actions of a politician. Do you think you should be able to share those feelings even though you are not a shitstain politician?

I have stood in your shoes for a number of years and I can not remember a time when the public and LE were at odds like this. I don’t think I can honestly say it was because of the officers, I think it is the difference in the command and politicians. But I hope you cannot sit there and say that part of the problem is the attitude of law enforcement today. Hell, several here have posted they could care less if they are supported by the community.

I have gotten one call/message already asking if I was available to go to Atlanta to be part of a protective detail. The pay offered was substantially better than what was advertised in the above post.

I understand how some officers are feeling the effects of others, I empathize with them. You all have unions correct? I assume they are pretty liberal. (I could be wrong) Why doesn't the minority rise against the majority and start making demands? I'm sure it is happening, but leaving the law abiding citizens out to dry is a reason to quit LE all together, and choose a different career.
