If you don't accept the ridiculous outrage culture the Right is trying to copy from the left you'll be accused of taking the high road and the reason why we are losing our country then labeled a subversive of whatever topic the outrage is aimed out (ie globohomo, globalist, gun grabber, etc). Look at the Sound of Freedom conspiracy threads. Anyone the questions the narrative the movie is being hamstrung, by theater chains or the distributors immediately get labeled a supporter of pedophelia. No matter the complete lack of logic in the conspiracy narrative presented.

I remember you were upset with GD for criticizing gay adoption in a thread about gay adoptive parents raping the kids and pimping them out.

It’s almost like not all gay adoptive parents do it to fuck their kids.  Crazy.

What's the occurance rate of adoptive gay parents doing that compared to biological straight parents? I bet you wouldn't like the answer.

Really?  A movie about an iconic toy that’s been heavily marketed to preteens for decades?

Let’s do a new GI Joe movie where he’s a bisexual pedofile that does ritual animal sacrifice.  Completely ok for adolescent boys as long as it’s not ‘marketed for kids’.

FWIW - I actually enjoyed at least one of the Barbie cartoon series a few few years ago.  I thought it was fan made.  It was not kid inappropriate - but funny as hell to adults who grew up in the early 80's

I posted about this years ago. There are a bunch, but the two main ones were Dreamhouse Adventures and Life in the Dreamhouse. Both were well-made and appropriate, at least in the sense they didn't include any political or age-inappropriate content. Life in the Dreamhouse actually had a lot of jokes that kids wouldn't get.

I am sorry to see this because my girls love Barbie and it has been an American icon for so long.

Why would you give them a phone that can do that?

That would fuck up a lot of kids development for my generation.

Was Life in the Dreamhouse the one that was staged like a reality show? That one did have pretty good scripts for a cheap children's show.

Kids aren’t stupid.  They know Barbie doesn’t have a pussy.  If she went to the real world, obviously this would have to be one of the first questions they address.  It’s a pg13 movie, I think pg movies in the 80s had tits in them, because every movie had tits in them.

Edit jaws was rated PG, quit being such a bunch of babies.

But it’s going to be attractive for kids. Thus, the warning. Just like someone mentioned “Ted”—not a kids movie but kids wanted to see the teddy bear.

I went to Catholic school in the 70's, and my friends and I found/acquired 'porn', there is a will, there is a way, stop acting like kids today have not already seen worse than "Hard PG13"

Dunno.  Not the kind of movie I’d go see.

But I’ve watched things like Matrix and The Terminator movies with my kids when they were young.

Part of a parents job is to teach the difference between movies and real life.  And a parent should know their own children well enough to understand what they are and are not mature enough to handle.

Idk dude.  I watched this every day after school.  Maybe it wasn’t marketed to kids but is was rerun in the time slot. I was too little to know, but were people all outraged about this or Jack Tripper and all the gay and sexual threes company references? Kids watched that stuff all the time back in the day.  Everyone is such a sensitive triggered bitch now.

I find it interesting you specifically mention sub-13 year old kids.

Perhaps we can convince some organization to issue a formal rating to this movie in a way to suggest children that young shouldn't watch it?

However could that be done?

My 27 and 25 year old daughters went to see it together last night. They were really excited since they grew up playing with Barbies. They expected this to be their Star Wars.

My oldest called me at 9:30 PM and said "Well, I should have expected it, but they have screwed up Barbie. Movie is liberal trash. Childhood ruined."

I asked her if the reports of it being a complete feminist man-bashing hateful movie were true, she said "It's worse."

My wife still wants to see it, just to see the costumes and set design. When it's free on a streaming service.

The mid_wits, unironically this meme, are the smoothest brains of all.

They do a whole lot of mental backflips, plugging ears and belting out "LALALALALA" In order to avoid interfacing with the obvious, but then say that they're the smart ones

I remember when Zootopia came out, the grey_bars and brainlets were totally fooled by an agenda that wasnt hidden in the slightest.
- Her parents are "dumb bunnies" that stayed on a farm and had a family, they didnt even move to a big city to pursue a career
- *There was an elephant character refusing service, as a teachable moment*
This, during the "bake the cake" controversy that had the lefties asspained.
Yep, that one is sooooo relatable for little kids

The dense dummies missed that ^

I think at least one member saw it yesterday and posted similar criticism of the movie.

I thought the trailers were amusing but I appreciate the warnings.

I cant help but recycle my copypasta from another thread making fun of wokewashing
