My uncle carried a lever action .22mag in the tractor at all times. That rifle put a lot of meat on the table when I was growing up. He also had a lever action .357 (might have been .44mag).

I don't have a farm or ranch, but the only gun I have been able to comfortably work in all day is a G19 in a crossbreed holster. If I was running equipment all day I don't think I'd want to carry IWB, but otherwise I could do it.
A suppressed 10/22 is probably the most useful, but if you wanted a centerfire rifle that is not an AR I would like into a Kel-Tec RDB-S or RDB-C. I have an RDB-D that I love, and I think the C model would be a great farm gun |
