Spoiler alert#########
Saw it with a kid I work with. We both gave it a 6.5-7/10. CGI was a little ridiculous. The Wakanda premise was very far fetched. The most advanced and fair minded civilization of all time has a monarchy chosen by mortal combat? Okay ... Villain was given hard core victim status. Definitely a globalist message. Otherwise it was fairly entertaining, but here's the odd thing: When I went to buy tickets the whole theatre was sold out except a few random single seats, and the front row. We had to sit in the front. I turned around a couple times during the movie and tbe theater was only half full. So tickets are being bought in blocks and just wasted to bolster ticket sales. |

This is a real thing. #blackpantherchallenge The Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer, who worked with “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler five years ago on “Fruitvale Station,” took to social media two weeks ago to popularize the idea of giving back on the opening weekend of “Panther,” which features a mostly black cast. “I will be in [Mississippi] when this movie opens,” Spencer wrote on Instagram. “I think I will buy out a theatre in an underserved community there to ensure that all our brown children can see themselves as a superhero.” “Thanks to you, the #BlackPantherChallenge became the largest GoFundMe in history for an entertainment event. Then you raised $300k, enough to buy tickets for over 23k children. NOW...you’ve raised over $400k around the world, enough to send over 30k children to see the film” Wow. What an amazing waste of money. They could have spent that 400k on water purification for Africa or books or something tangible, instead? Spending on tickets to go watch a movie. |

Saw it.... my theory was correct. Wakanda is bad because they secure their borders and not liberate the oppressed peoples of color. They now have a change of heart and reveal to the world their true power. So I have a question.... would Wakanda liberate the Jews and Poles from Nazi rule? Anyways.... okay Marvel film and about on par with the rest. You just gave away some of the story! |

Fuck them, will not watch. Main character is named after a terrorist organization. No better than a Captain ISIS movie about a mid-eastern hero who rids the world of evil infidels.

Byrd and Reed told Blavity that they plan to further their efforts ahead of the 2018 midterm elections by holding a campaign manager institute called the “Electoral Justice League,” and to have “thousands of conversations” with black voters about upcoming elections. “We want to take every opportunity to engage our communities in the conversation of electoral justice,” they said. If a political activist group hired a theater and presented free showings of 'Captain America' complete with voter registration booths in the lobby and outside the theater, and wanted to have "thousands of conversations" with white voters about the upcoming elections, would that be considered racist? |

Saw black panther with grandchildren Friday night. I think the social media campaign is overhyping what I found to be a mediocre film with an obvious liberal propaganda overtone. There are some lines in this film that are uncomfortably racist by any standard but fear of politically correct backlash will prevent an honest assessment of the film. I regret taking my grandchildren. We teach them to be kind and respectful to everyone regardless of race and this movie in some parts conveys gratuitous anger. Superheroes should unite and be of high moral character. There was very little heroic going on in this movie or inspiring to young children who need examples View Quote For anybody who saw the movie, do you know what the poster was referring too? |
