Quoted: @benw8887 We make a bayonet lug for Mossberg 500 shotguns that takes the FN pattern bayonet. And this would be a similar concept. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/91277/nds-bayo_2_JPG-1372481.jpg http://www.nodakspud.com/images/NDS-54%20b.JPG Basically, in order to fit on an AR you need a flash hider that gives you a step/shoulder at 1.5" from the front of the FSB. The back of the bayonet stops on the front of FSB and the latch snaps down behind the step on the back of the muzzle device. View Quote Just purchased one, thanks great thread |

Just had surgery Monday, so I’ve been stuck in the recliner surfing Arfcom and other gun parts sights. Saw this thread and decided I need to build a Blood Diamond rifle. Just sold my house so a lot of gun parts are in storage and I think there is an A2 upper in storage. Just deciding on barrel length, 10.5” or 11.5”. I’m leaning towards 10.5” with the 607 moderator. I love the retro style rifles and the paint job I think really makes the rifle look awesome
And since it’s now a carbine thread Attached File |

Quoted: Will an A2-mounted suppressor not work with the length of the A2X? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Guess I’ll post this. I’ve been collecting these parts for years and finally have everything that I need to assemble it. I mocked everything up last fall and still haven’t actually assembled it. I’m honestly thinking I’ll just sell the barrel and buy something else, as the pinned A2X won’t allow me to mount a suppressor. https://i.imgur.com/iBQybIf.jpg Will an A2-mounted suppressor not work with the length of the A2X? It will work technically if using a gate lock can like Griffin Armament or KAC but if it was pinned on where a crush washer was used that’s no good. Might have baffle strikes |

I love simple, lightweight carbines.
From the sound of things, I might need to consider offering barrel profiling as a service...... |

Quoted: I didn't even know this was a thing, making blood diamond guns, I thought I had this unique idea a couple years ago, but here's mine. It's cheap as hell, Anderson lower, old ass M2 aimpoint, 14.5 upper than I permanently attached a moderator sleeve over so I don't have to deal with the NFA (this is a beater gun). I'm not in love with the height over bore but sometimes it's just fun to shoot something different. As an added bonus you get a retired special forces dog, who refuses to leave my side when I'm home. https://i.imgur.com/6yHXGHD.jpg In his biting people and sniffing for bombs days. https://i.imgur.com/pTmZYf7.jpg View Quote Ok. I'm totally painting mine when it gets here...off to the EE for OG aimpoint. Groovy Dag. |
