I have never tried it - but then I make my own 'homemade' vanilla bean ice cream which is what I consider the best (but it sure ain't cheap to make at ~$20/qt)...

I just get store brand after that listeria thing.
I will tell you though the strawberry ice cream by blue bell was top notch compared to the store brand.

Blue Bell cut off distribution to my AO for a few years after the listeria outbreak but it will be back on the shelves next Monday. Looking forward to getting me a pint!

While I agree that it is probably the best store bought ice cream, well, actually Marble Slab Creamery vanilla is better, but, the best ice cream that I have eaten has to be home made ice cream from one of those ice cream makers using rock salt in the cooling process.
