Not the end of the world, just made me think of it. I love rye bread, but not sure if that's an accurate gauge of if it's like rye bourbon.

But Americans don’t seem to love Rye whiskey like they do bourbon. It’s more spicy, think nutmeg and cinnamon. |

Our local liquor store does sample pours, always has store picks. I have bought lots of stuff that readily available by tasting before. Also greatly expanded my pallet. A lot of folks get hung up on age statements, “oh that’s just MGP”, “why buy that, know one knows who they are”. I care about what is in the bottle, does it taste good or not. Getting the taste also gives the store a point of reference for new recommendations.
