Quoted: I keep seeing references to Orwell's 1984, but another good book you should all read if you haven't already is Gulag Archipelago by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. Speaking of the mass arrests that totalitarians are so fond of: "And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? After all, you knew ahead of time that those bluecaps were out at night for no good purpose. And you could be sure ahead of time that you'd be cracking the skull of a cutthroat." I read something like 10k were sold in here, but just finished MrGnG video and he claims 50k sold. Essentially, if this AFT ruling is upheld, all FRT owners are out 400$ish and are considered felons until they turn in or demolish the trigger.
It would seem as if 50,000 owners are a big enough group to support a class-action lawsuit against the AFT. Even at $100/ea trigger owned, thats 5 million to fight. Suddenly making that many people felons is a mentally taxing allegation, and owners could also sue for their legal fees back as well, so the 100$ could be refunded. I'm not sure of the FTCA coverage of mental distress, but such a colossal screw-up could also help prevent the Manchild from being confirmed. Most people on here won't put their money where their mouth is, but this could be a legal fight worth standing behind. It seems as if Rare Breed has been planning for this and has some decent strategy. Nolo might be a good guy to step in as well. ETA: that's not to mention RB's motivation behind a strong defense. A potential fine of $400/trigger and losing all future business gives a grim future for RB if they lose. |

You’re stuck using crypto unless you buy from another retailer. As for learning to send crypto, it’s not that hard. You can get a Coinbase account, validate it, then buy some crypto using a bank account. If you can use a website to do your banking, it’s not that much more complicated. You’ll have to go through the know your customer process for Coinbase because they’re a regulated exchange, it’s the same as opening a brokerage account basically. |

Quoted: Ah, but buying a trigger doesn't just give a bunch of money to their legal fund, it also gets another trigger out into the world. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Any reason why RBT can't setup a "product" on their page website that allows for the "purchase" (donation)? Either that or the ability to contribute more when buying a trigger... the big boys can ask us to "round up" to the NRA.... this can't be that hard. The crypto though, that would take me some time to learn. Ah, but buying a trigger doesn't just give a bunch of money to their legal fund, it also gets another trigger out into the world. At almost 400 dollars a trigger, I think that the whole purpose of this trigger is to support a legal defense fund. Larue can sell a MBT at $118.00, and Mr. G can do a SSA at $240. The FRT-15 isn’t that complicated, so that extra money has to be going somewhere. |

Quoted: No. But I'm still happy I won't be hassled like the people who bought the FRT's. They looked like a ton of fun, and the last thing I need is for the government to take away yet another thing I enjoyed (like the good old days of drones circa 2015). So yeah. I'm happy as fuck I didn't drop hundreds of dollars on something that was so obviously going to be banned. Magazine fed semiautos have been legally bought and sold in the US ever since they were invented over a hundred years ago, so your comparison doesn't hold water. They are in "common use". The FRT is not. View Quote "Hold up, guys, don't throw that tea in the harbor. You're gonna get us all in trouble. Let's just pay the tax on it and be thankful they only take part of our money and not all of it." |

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Today the flavor of the month is a trigger….tomorrow will be a magazine, or BCG, or night vision, body armor, etc… Fuck them By the time they get to the guys that kill things at 1000 yds, there will be no one left to stand with them. Those fat Fudds will voluntarily hand in their deer rifles as soon as possible. |
