Is there a high correlation between ridiculous gun listings and Armslist or is that just my imagination?
I've noticed this, but the Oklahoma gun trading Facebook pages are full of over priced stuff and "sporterized" or "custom" guns no one wants. So maybe it's a local thing!

Well, it is Oklahoma.

Wish I had a picture of the bubba'd Mini-14 I saw in the LGS. It would have fit well in this thread.

It's all good, just shoot from the hip and get more thrusts per squeeze.

And count me in for an SKS pistol.

I'm surprised I'm the first to say this, but...

I'm pretty sure this photo was taken in Iraq.

I used to manage my unit's captured enemy weapons, and I used to see those medallion things on random guns. I saw a few odd chop jobs.

Other giveaways are the random box of guns below, the ACH next to the box, the dusty open wooden floor, and what I'm guessing is the stock and grip of a PK variant at the left.

I'm guessing at least a few of these photos are taken in other countries.

I'm actually okay with that as a concept, assuming it's not a pre-64 Winchester or some kind of rarity getting chopped.

I think lever actions are awesome suppressor hosts. You control the noise of the action, and really heavy subsonic loads are perfect.

The sights on most lever actions kinda suck, but I think those EOTechs are a bit much. A RMR would be a better fit.

If Marlin wasn't essentially dead, I think I'd like a new .44mag or .45 Colt set up that way.

I can't believe people actually do these things to firearms. The lever action with the see through sights is the worst. Dumbasses.

I thought that Marlin looked familiar!

I actually bought the rifle from the pawn shop in that condition, and didn't realize the can tab was under the scope until I got it home.  If I remember correctly, it was a .35 Rem, which is the main reason I bought the rifle.  Of course, first thing that had to go were the see-thru rings and POS scope.  It was kind of surprising to see the Bubba engineering, guess they ran out of vertical adjustment trying to sight in the rifle.

Yeah, I'm not big on the execution (WTF is that angled grip thing doing on there?) but the concept is pretty sound.

One of these days I'd like to get a thurty-thurty and thread the muzzle for my YHM Phantom.  Too bad prices on lever actions have gotten stupid.

I have a friend with a 10-22 that is a tack river.  Sold to him unusually cheap by a guy who was in to "custom precision rimfires"

My buddy is OBSESSED with accuracy and if it wont shoot he gnat off a fly's ass he doesn't want it.

He doesn't believe in "combat accuracy".

He was shooting it after getting it and noticed some black substance under the barrel and investigated further.

After disassembly it was discovered the guy had bedded the stock...with electrical tape.

My buddy put the gun back together and still drives tacks with tit to this day LOL.

I don't have a problem with the electrical tape holding the forearm on the shotgun.

Easily reversible and not permanent.

At least he didn't JB Weld it on or something.

Looked like the barrel nut was held into place by electrical tape or something too ( as the nut loosening on those is somewhat common) but he didn't mention it

For all practical purposes, Winchester and Marlin can both be written off as dead. That leaves Rossi, the dressy Henrys, and the used market, and the supply on the used market is finite.

I'd go Marlin on this one. A mildly worn 336 or 30AW would be pretty good. The funny thing is that the used Remington-built contraptions have poor resale value, so if one were inclined, they could buy one, clean up the action, and finish it with something other than Remington's rust if you look at it wrong stuff.

FDE?
