The MTAC was cool. I've got no problem with it.

It's just that 4x mag range doesn't seem worth the weight and bulk penalty over the TA33.

6x brings a lot more capability and would be worth the weight/bulk if I needed it.

Which, it's not like there's a huge performance difference between a 16" and an 18" rifle that demands the higher mag range, I just figure if I've got the extra 4oz to begin with, I could live with another few on the scope to make the extra bit of barrel more worth it.

And the big thing is... I already have a TA33 (and a 1-4x), I might like to try something new, and my favorite rifle now doesn't have an optic.

But NV has to come first or I'll never buy it.

That was on a WOA 18" barrel also.

Maybe just save my pennies and get a VCOG?

It's just so much money...

This is not bad with mil discount, and has better reticle, and weighs less.

Intredasting...good eye relief.  I found their mil/fed LEO discount, but that's just for active duty.  Do they have anything for retired?

ETA:  DSG for the win again.  Guess I found a scope to go on my 14.7" .308.

DSG gets a whole hell of a lot of my money

I've spent more money at DSG since I've gotten the .mil discount than anywhere else.

Mk4 is here, now I just need the TA44 mount to come in, and to decide on a muzzle device, and some spare time to put the upper together.

If you own a can, then a mount for it.

If you don't own a can, then an A2 flash hider until you do own a can.

I do have a can, and it probably weighs as much as the rest of the gun.

Yeah, only issue I've had so far is I didn't realize the B5 Bravo buttstock kit was on Backorder when I ordered it.

So I live near (About 45 min radius):
AIM Surplus
B5 Systems
Copes

When the Bobro mount gets here, that'll go under the TA44.  I'll get a light and some lightweight buis at some point, but she's a complete SCWAR, now.

No it is not.  The specs for a SCWAR call for either a T-1, or a TA44.

I'll get a TA33 when I put together a 16 or 18" CWAR.

Leave the URX on it.

If You wanted a MK4'ed upper, I would have just built a new upper from scratch.

I think I've been bitten by the bug. Ish.  I was thinking of getting one of the SLR M-LOK rails, but then I saw the ALG rail is half the price.  So now I'm thinking to get a 12" EMR for my 14.5" gov't... using a T1 in Larue mount.

Not CWAR, not She-CWAR even.

I cant get anything right
But damnit I'll use the fuck out of that rifle at CWE2.

She-CWAR is steadily progressing. TA33 will be used. Just need a .625 gas block, midlength gas tube, and a muzzle device.

Maybe 2-3 weeks.

The times be nigh! You're 100% right about the ADM mount for the TA33 too. Mine came with one and the first time I looked through it on my rifle I thought, "Well, fuck. This needs to be just a tad higher." I missed 2 Trijicon/Bobro mounts in the EE yesterday by minutes.

I'm using the TA60 mount while I wait for the Bobro...stupid thing was listed at 16 weeks til shipping on Trijicon's site.

The real ass of it is that I know I'm going to need more of the damn things, I love the TA44, and I looked at a TA33 in the store the other day, seemed super sweet.

They're $141 on sale at optics planet and amazon.com (sold by optics planet) but there's a 12-21 day lead time. Like I said, there were 2 on the EE yesterday for $135 shipped and I missed out.
