So far I’ve found three. Two in the back yard and one in the tree. I put them out front and a couple days latter were gone. I figured the kids who they belong to for them.

Quoted: For all the people hating on drones and the perceived intrusion on their privacy.... Overwhelmingly, most are just young kids learning to fly a toy. We kind of need kids in this country who appreciate technology, science, physics, coding, and have "nerdy" hobbies. Just think, 10 years from now, that "annoying" kid down the block with his stupid drone and silly VR headset, could be the one lasing targets in Iran as Israeli F35's bust some bunkers. Or he might be the one putting bombs on foreheads overhead of an ISIS training camp. It all starts somewhere and the Air Force is desperate for drone pilots and nerdy kids. View Quote Or they go on to do the Lord's Work like one guy I know who used to catfish Feds and post their dick pics online |

It was probably sent there to steal all the gold you've been hiding in your mattress. Or maybe your memaw's secret 9 bean soup recipe. This is the 21st century version of coming home to find a soccer ball in your yard.

Take a picture of it and make a found a lost pet poster with a sob story how it was hungry and had flees; and then plaster the neighborhood with them. Post it on one of the neighborhood Karen web sites and enjoy the actions.

If it was DJI drone owner would have been already at your door. Even if such drone falls from the skies you still able to read his flight path. Its all recorded. If drone landed due to low battery its still submits last GPS location. Flight log can be retrieved from DJI or from AirData website if they have an account.

My lawnmower found the drone that crashed in my yard... Asked the neighbors if it was theirs, nobody claimed it.

Tell your husband about it. He'll reassure you that's it's no big deal and the kid who owns it will collect it later on.

Quoted: Lost juice. Lost controller signal..... Its there by chance. View Quote Yup If I'm at 100ft or 1,000ft I can see for miles and miles so no need to hover over someones yard to "spy" Which is one of the reasons I call on the "drone was over my yard spying on me/wife/daughter" stories Someone could be blocks away out of visual and audible range watching, so why would they hover over your yard? Logic is simply out of grasp for some folks |

Quoted: What kind is it? An inexpensive toy drone, or a nice DJI? A lot of the cheaper ones will fly out of range and lose control especially with a kid flying it. Either way someone would appreciate getting it back. It was most likely someone losing control with their new toy. I doubt anyone was using it to spy on anyone. Probably belongs to a kid. View Quote I highly doubt op was the subject of the drone. |

Here is how easy it is to locate drone crash site. Retrieving may not be as easy.
Dude started his drone, probably did not locked to enough sats and drone got away. DJI drones need at least 12 satellites locked to fly safely. Link |

Quoted: I am a very quiet, private person. Married living in a quiet neighborhood ( 80% retired, 20% young couples first homes) Get out of my truck and there is a $%^&* drone on my front grass. Just got a new neighbor with 3 kids. I asked the oldest son if it was his? Very polite young man replies he does not own one. So now what? Should I bring the drone inside, remove the memory card and prank the owner with videos? I have nothing to spy on and live a boring life. Hate drones and see them as an intrusion. What says the hive? Quoted: Maybe our privacy, our freedom, our liberty. Guess you don't care about those things. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: What is it about drones that makes boomers so angry? Maybe our privacy, our freedom, our liberty. Guess you don't care about those things. If you can look out your window and see a neighbor's house, your privacy is already compromised. It's just a question of to what degree it is compromised. Crazy old lady up the road frequently stops her car and stares at my yard. Should I be out there acting crazy like her? (I still need to get some stakes and masonry twine to lay out some random foundation pattern, to give her something to look at.) Freedom and liberty? Are you saying it's a government drone? What about the freedom and liberty of the person flying the drone? Courts have already made rulings on ownership of the air over your property. |

Really?

Quoted: Quoted: at the idiots triggered by some kids drone. You have to be delusional to think that anyone is interested enough in you to spy on your retarded asses with a drone. Then why is it in his yard? OMG! You must be right, No other conceivable explanation how a kids toy ended up in his front yard. This would explain why the OP went dark. |

These people suggesting you load the SD card with dick pictures clearly have never heard of criminal charges for transmitting porn to minors.... provided the drone owner is a kid.
Just sayin', may not be the best idea |

I bought a $100 drone off Amazon for a halloween party a few years ago.
We'd been drinking all day and I gave the controller to my buddy He flew it over my house towards the woods in my back yard Last time I ever saw it |
