But, I think my favorite (at least it was what came to mind first) was the Cobra Hydrofoil. Attached File |

The tank, whatever it was called.
I would spend 10-15 minutes setting up all my joes and cobras in combat poses, and then fire up the tank and mow through opposition forces while sitting back in a comfortable "hide" taking out the HVT's with a red ryder. I could do that shit forever! |

Zartan. The guy who changes color when you place him under the sun.

THE GENERAL was the centerpiece of my collection. Attached File
My room wasn't that big, but that things fuckin mortar would lob these big ass yellow shells clear across it. |
|
Got none of the vehicles but the Indian dude with the eagle was cool

We had the Tomahawk. Never had that many GI Joe Characters, so my brother and I would conduct Joint Forces ops. GI Joe, Star Wars, He Man, Lego.... All in the same helo providing cover for the AT-AT

Never had any cool vehicles.
But my favorite joe I had was gen 2 snake eyes with timber wolf. I remember digging through the racks in the stores looking for one, but could never find it. Then for Christmas, my parents gave it to me. Ohhh, you couldn't wipe the smile off my face!! |

Rattler was awesome, best gift I ever received. Zartan and the swamp ski was pretty cool.
Cobra had the coolest vehicles. |
|
The mail in offer motherfucking steel brigade figure.
I still have it sitting in the box I put my wallet, keys, leek, etc on the dresser. He's holding a spectre m4 |
|
I had this big snow tank type thing, it shot these little black disks. For the life of me I cannot find it on google. I seem to remember a Jeep looking thing, but I haven't found it either.

this bad bitch. http://toyworth.com/browse/Night/Raven/action/figure//1986//GI/Joe/Accessories/60/lrg-loose-front.jpg View Quote Hell yes. Sky Striker was #2. I only had a few of the people. I know I had Scarlet and Spirit. No vehicles. But my cousin did, so we played with his. |

Had the VAMP, fang copter, hiss tank (probably my fave vehicle), storm shadow, some kind of cobra jet pack type plane, major bludd etc
One of my faves was the weapons packs you could buy to replace all the lost guns for your guys. Having twenty figures with eight guns to spread between them was lame. The skier dude was cool too. |
|
My mom kept a bunch of my GI Joe stuff. Most of it was pretty beat up and my kids have done their best to finish it off.
I did find this guy's Mylar parachute during a recent move though: Skydive |
|
I liked the ones that were closest to real military vehicles. The skystriker, the space shuttle, and the tank were up there.
If Hasbro would produce scale copies of modern vehicles, with current markings, I would hace trouble resisting. |

Rolling Thunder destroys all
I forget what the retail was on the Rolling Thunder but I just remember my older brother spotting me the rest (I had 18.00) and wanted this thing more than anyone could imagine. It was a beast! ETA - just chose to look one up for shits and giggles. Saw one sold on flee bay, sealed, in it's box, for 1900.00! |

I had the Defiant Space Shuttle Launch Complex which later became a paintball target. http://www.panelsonpages.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/defiant-closed.jpg View Quote I don't remember that thing at all. |

It's a toss up between the Mobile Command Center or the Killer W.H.A.L.E.
I started getting Joes around 1985 and on through about 1993 when they started doing the Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat spin-offs and all the weapons started going from black to neon colors. Around 93/94 was the death of the good stuff, until they brought back the 25th Anniversary Joes here a few years back. |

I have a polaroid of me and the General, that mortar was the tits.
|
|
The VAMP, I wanted the Rattler but never got it, I had the HISS tank too, never understood a tank with a big glass canopy though.
