Last time this came up there were pallets for sale in Newport News, $10/roll for 80 rolls. There's a guy in PA with some now we could probably get for the same price.
I'm still in for $100 worth of wire and transport if someone wants to pick it up. |

We had a fiery 2nd LT platoon leader from Boston. I'd still follow that guy to hell if he called me today...
One day at NTC, he comes around bitching about OPFOR. So he wanted to know how to fuck with them. We said, we should put a wire barrier just over a hill that we know the OPFOR are going to attack us over the next day. We should do it at night, and as quietly as possible. So we did. It was a shitty barrier, we didn't know what we were doing, but the whole platoon went out with rolls of wire and set it up in the dark just below the crest of a hill. The next day, the battle commences, and charging over the hill were these pretty VISMODS of the dreaded OPFOR. They hit that wire and parts started coming off. It was beautiful, they were angry. It was a good day. And we killed them all. We won both the live fire and OPFOR battles at NTC that year. |
