Here are a few pictures of a rail road diorama if been working on for a few years now.   It started out as a 1’x2’ and has grown to 3’x5’ monster.

I'm probably most impressed by this one.  A myriad of skills are needed to accomplish this diorama.

The guy's website is located here.  He has several more very impressive scenes.

I found a couple of old Soldier magazines (1969-1973) at a yard sale the other day, buried in a box of D&D stuff I picked up.  They're all about miniatures and diorama painting/building, and include some articles on military history.

Those were great magazines. Got me interested in Military history and painting figures at an early age. I still love painting figures.

Nice looking Panzer IV, but for an Afrika Korps tank way too much rust.

The climate in nothern Africa was very dry and the fine desertsand was permanently sanding all surfaces, especially the tracks.

Is that a BB with a Osprey on the flight deck and a VLS launcher?

This is one sweet Warhammer.  It needs to be done up in Wolf's Dragoon colors for Natasha Kerensky though.
