Looking back I really don't have a preference as far as looks.
I've dated tall and thin, short and thin, short and fat, really really short and fit. Tall and bodybuilder. Tattoos/no tattoos. Piercing/no Piercing. For the most part the main consistency of them is that treated me the way I like to be treated. That not something you can see.

I couldn’t care less what OP thinks of my multiple piercings or my “busy/patterned” leggings.
When you’re skinny, those patterns make your legs look more shapely rather than stick thin. As for my piercings, they’ve each got gold in them, not potmetal. |

Went on a couple dates with a very gen Z girl this year and she was very attractive, but some of the clothes/piercings only detracted from her attractiveness. I'm not sure if it's trying to look less attractive on purpose, or chasing individuality, or what. Men do it too, but not to the same degree. |
