Nice thing about Disney is it weeds out the ghetto goblins. Try going to your local Six Flags with cheap ticket prices and see how vibrant it is.

No desire to go, my kids have never asked to go either. Coworker of mine goes twice a year for a total of two weeks. I just don’t get the attraction.

Fuck Disney but this sounds like bunch of class warfare bullshit to me.

There is only so much capacity. If enough people can afford it and are willing to pay, then their prices aren't too high.
Disneyworld is expanding slowly, but the US population is expanding rapidly. Demand is outpacing supply, which means higher prices. Disney could probably build a second Disneyworld somewhere else that isn't near FL or CA but has good weather enough days of the year and have no trouble filling it with customers. Somewhere in or near Texas maybe. |

Quoted: disney is simply an evil company. pull your young kids in with slushy entertainment which is often woke or at least reduced to a common denominator of acceptable political correctness. kids demand a visit to the promised land. parents decide to go, are sucked in to staying inside the property where they are continually drained of funds by all manner of expensive nonsense and geegaws. If you know what you are doing, Disney isn't much more expensive than the cost of admission. From time to time we'll do a dinner at Be Our Guest or something. But that just takes planning.

Disney will get its magic back by pricing out hood rats. Period.

I grew up a couple miles away from Disneyland and knott's Berry Farm back in the 60's & early 70's. I'm good.
I was also living in Florida when Disney World opened up. So I've had enough of that shit to last a lifetime, and I got a box of un-used "E" tickets to prove it. Yeah, I'm old. I have been to the parks since then a few times, and the older I get, the less I give a shit about them. |
|
I've been to Disneyland 50+ times as a kid growing up. We lived right down the street, my cousin worked there and got all of us in for free. I'd never go now unless it was free
I do kinda want to see Star Wars land |

Quoted: I'm 43 and I've never been to Disney. My family growing up was poor and couldn't afford it, hell we barely could afford going to the local state park. Now that I'm an adult its still too expensive for me. My wife and I have wanted to take our daughter but its just too expensive. Its on my bucket list but I'll probably never be able to afford it. View Quote I got a $10k bonus one year and took my four kids. We did it up well, stayed on property for six full days and did all of the good stuff that the kids wanted to do. I look back on that as the best time we ever had as a family. We lost a son a few years later, so we also look back on it as something we would never trade as an experience. Worth every penny. |

Wasnt ever planning on going anyway, I am far too antisocial and misanthropic to be around that type of crowd.

Quoted: I've been twice in my life. I have no reason to go back and particularly not now with those prices. View Quote Same. Once when I was a kid and once awhile ago when my daughter was young. Just like a cruise I have zero interest going to a Disney park. Too much $$$$ to stand around in lines all day and/or be around a ton of other people. The amount of people they put on cruise ships these days is ridiculous. |

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Keeping Disney from being vibrantly enriched by hood rats? Bingo Ive been to WDW several times. I don't recall ever seeing hold rats. Oh they’re there and it’s gotten really bad in the last few years. Mostly Latin American and Caribbean trash that are likely Florida residents now types. In the last 10 years WDW has gone to shit with the Disney resort buses and monorails smelling like piss and resembling San Juan PR city bus clientele. We’ve found dirty diapers and wipes on the floor of the monorail, shit covered toddlers seated in front of us at a show because the PR parents wouldn’t take the kids to the bathroom. It smelled terrible. The list goes on and on. And don’t get me started on the Brazilian tour groups. |

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure is much better than the Rat Kingdom.
ETA: Especially with the unlimited express passes. We were clearing 60 - 75 minute waits in 6 minutes. On average, the express line wait was 5-7 minutes per ride, even during peak hours. It was a great time. |
