I am sorry brother and I can relate. My wife broke my heart and left after everything we had been through and that was a shit load. We basically grew up together.
All I can say is that the sun still shines, the world is my oyster and it hurts less every day. But yes, it still hurts.....a lot |

Utah is a no fault state, no fucks given about who's banging who. The wife will get all. It honestly doesn't matter what she says she wants, the court will give her what they decide.
Sell the house and split it, seriously, or it's all going to be hers. Try to pay lump sum alimony of possible. Take half, or less, whatever the judge gives you and fucking run. File tomorrow and he done or your Angus is going to get peppered. Don't draw this out, you can always get married again to her later if you need. Be courteous until the paperwork is finalized, she can be totally shitty to you, you don't get that option here. If you come out with nothing, but no payment your years ahead and freedom to move on. Watched a Utah divorce more than once, it only turns out one way. |

Don’t take legal advice from the internet...but for what it’s worth, the majority of states are no fault. Regardless, most will give favor to the woman especially when kids are involved regardless of cheating.

Lawyer up and hire a PI if necessary. Be ruthless. Read Heartiste. Get in shape. Find a hotter replacement. Cut off ALL contact unless you have children.

I have not gone through a divorce, and hope to never. That said, I got to watch 2 of my best friends go through them. If you can save your retirement, give her everything else as it is replaceable. Having to work until your 70 to get a small retirement is not a good option.

His wife told him one day she didn't love him anymore and she had grown, while he stayed the same... He had paid to put her through school and when she was done, got a huge promotion at work. Overnight she became a white collar worker while he was still joe six pack... she was raised in a blue collar home by a union construction worker father. She decided he didnt fit into her new life and wanted him out. He was devastated and broken for a long time, but today he is happy and has a great life. To the OP, lawyer up as fast as you can. I saw what happens when you dont and you will pay dearly for it in the end. The faster you get a knock-down-kick her in the ass-eye gouging- scumbag lawyer working for you, the sooner he can protect you from the one she probably already spoke to... |

When it comes time to dissolve the contract, the State makes the final decisions, and the deck is stacked against the XY participant. You may have to gnaw off an arm to get out of the trap, but once you are free you will heal up ok. Get out as clean as you can. |
