Just that adult men (without children) who are fans of the show have well issues. No that pretty much sounds exactly sounds like some libertard. "Adult men who are infatuated with guns have, well, issues. And small penises." The correct answer is: "I don't get why you like something, but that doesn't make you insane or weird." Your first point is something someone with mental issues would say (see Sigmund Freud's comments on fear of weaponry). Since men have been fascinated with weaponry since the first rock & club there is nothing abnormal about it. Especially as they can be useful tools. The second point is a typical libtard commend - something to make themselves feel better about their childish fear of weapons. Watching a TV show show meant for little girls might be your gig - but it's neither useful (you should already have morals) nor normal for adult males. If it makes you happy then have at it, but don't get all buthurt if 'normal' men find it amusing or disgusting. |

i don't give a fuck what you do with your spare time, but i still think bronies are creepy motherfuckers that I wouldn't allow to be alone with any children I know.

Just a question, isn't saying all non-little girls that watch the show are pedos the same thing as the libs saying all gun owners are psychos and murderers? Like a tv show and raping little kids seems like a little bit of a stretch to me. Eh, what do I know. Its exactly the same. There are a bunch of freedom loving hypocrites on here that support your freedoms as long as its on their terms. A lot like the Democrats. Logic fail. Nobody is saying you can't watch it, or they are going to stop you from watching it. Just that adult men (without children) who are fans of the show have well issues. There are plenty of shows that teach morals (though honestly if you don't know and have morals by the time you're an adults - well you have issues). We won't stop a person from crossdressing, but that doesn't mean we're going to hang out with them and think they're right in the head. Have at it, but if you admit to it, expect expect some ribbing. So using that same logic pattern, would you also conclude that all Catholics have issues because a handful of priests were pedophiles? that's not the same. All adult men (without kids) who are fans of the show have issues (but want to be treated just like they were watching football instead of a little girls tv program). However pretty much all Catholics are disgusted by those priests that were pedophiles. In your examples the Pedophile Priests are the Bronies and the Catholic church members are like the posters in this thread that think Adult male bronies are 'Gay' or 'Pedophiles'. |

My daughter loves the show. And honestly, I'd rather her watch that and watch it with her than subject either of us to Spongebob or Adventure Time (those might be two of the worst shows every created IMHO)
Do I watch the show on my own? No. Do I see anything wrong with anyone else who wants to watch it? No. It may be a little odd because it's considered outside the "norm" but society isn't always correct in their view of things. Look at gun ownership and the way many gun owners are viewed in communities because of the media. Watch whatever the hell you want, who gives a fuck. For so many people here who claim to be libertarians and want less involvement in others lives, you can be a judgmental group of tards. That being said, the term "Brony" is on par in my book with the term "Selfie"....I think it's just silly |

View Quote How can you possibly know? I think you're making generalizations that simply don't hold water. I like animation in general. I'm not limited to old school stuff or what's current, or anime, or any other particular style. I happen to ALSO enjoy the hell out of Spongebob. But, truth be told, Spongebob's average episode is CONSIDERABLY more juvenile and aimed more squarely at very young kids than any episode of MLP I've seen in the fairly recent past. I should know. I watch both these shows. And others. Futurama is always good. I've found that some MLP episodes actually begin to approach "mature subject matter" on several occasions. Most of the main characters have experienced what could perhaps accurately be described as psychotic breaks, complete in some cases with them speaking in satanic voices. I don't exactly consider that to be material appropriate for the 3 to 6 age range. Lauren Faust, the creator of the current show, states that she always intended that the show should appeal to a broader audience. She intentionally wrote the show so that it could be enjoyed by kids AND their parents. Clearly she succeeded and in a very, very big way, quite unexpectedly. I don't see any evidence that supports the blanket assertment the adults who enjoy this show have "issues" but there is no doubt that there are who are so emotionally insecure in themself (certainly this is an "issue") that they can't even tolerate the idea of someone else finding amusement in something they themselves are not even willing to investigate for themselves. |
