Meh idk about that. Trump got a lot of socialist shit done that Hillary would have never been able to.. with little to no push back from his ‘conservative’ base. It’s far more likely they want him back in there I think it’s just a vehicle to sew more division among the water heads.

Anybody who saw the events of Jan 6th and have half a brain, knew immediately that the group of (most) people inside the Capitol were wrong.

Was it an insurrection?  No, no fucking way.  Anybody using the word "insurrection" to describe it is trying to use it as political leverage in favor of the left.

Was it a nothing burger?  No, no fucking way.  Anybody trying to write it off as "nothing to see here" are willfully ignorant.

The Democrats are conducting a witch hunt on the premise that Trump planned and exhorted the Capitol incident to foment a coup d'etat.

Unlike Democrats, Trump could not gracefully accept the outcome of an election and admit defeat .

If he did plan the riot, these texts prove he didn't include his closest and most loyal advisers in those plans. Which is to say, he didn't plan or expect any of the things that happened at the Capitol.

What I’m seeing from the entire thing, is that there is a misunderstanding between the People and .gov.

The People fired a shot across the bow..... it seems that action has been grossly misinterpreted as a “miss”.

The .gov’s reaction to that shot across the bow has not been conducive to their long term success.

In reality, this anger is a crescendo of years being taken advantage of and then neglected for the highest bidder as well as LE agencies being used to target a certain class of citizens and their leaders. Uh huh, not really sure why that matters at all.

His son gave him political advice. Okay, big whoop.

Donald Trump Jr's text message history doesn't make the insane hyperinflation we're seeing right now change a single bit.  Everything is insanely expensive right now. Labor issues due to government unemployment competition is destroying our economy.  We've got border counties with over a 2,000% increase in illegal immigration over last year.

Did you know that China is having rolling blackouts regularly now?  They've had to reduce factory operation hours and that's going to further disrupt global supply chain.

We've got gas that is damn near $4 a gallon here and Biden is talking about economic sanctions on Russia that could prompt them to close off their oil pipeline to Germany thereby increasing the price of a barrel of crude oil on the commodities market. Not to mention the vaccine mandates and what I assume will soon be booster mandates as well. Some States are looking to reimplement mask requirements and in the case of Oregon to make them permanent.

So, WHO GIVES A SHIT ABOUT TEXT MESSAGES?

LOL, you mean he should unhitch himself from Trump right? Because Trump's own words were this.

"My fellow Americans, I want to speak to you tonight about the troubling events of the past week. As I have said, the incursion of the US Capitol struck at the very heart of our Republic. It angered and appalled millions of Americans across the political spectrum. I want to be very clear, I unequivocally condemn the violence that we saw last week. Violence and vandalism have absolutely no place in our country and no place in our movement.

Making America Great Again has always been about defending the rule of law, supporting the men and women of law enforcement and upholding our nation’s most sacred traditions and values. Mob violence goes against everything I believe in and everything our movement stands for. No true supporter of mine could ever endorse political violence. No true supporter of mine could ever disrespect law enforcement or our great American flag. No true supporter of mine could ever threaten or harass their fellow Americans. If you do any of these things, you are not supporting our movement, you are attacking it and you are attacking our country. We can not tolerate it.

Those who engaged in the attacks last week will be brought to justice.
"

Trump haters' new hero, Liz Cheney,  being funded by the Lincoln Project. Wasn't that the group with all the pedophiles? Also in case Trump haters have forgotten, Cheney's home state Republicans have kicked her out of the party; they no longer recognize her officially as a Republican. Wow, Trump haters, are you proud yet?

Here's for the crew stanning that, 'but Cheney did nothing wrong,'.

Congress Shows Contempt for the Constitution

"Cheney asserts that there were "dozens of texts" to Meadows on January 6th, but the smattering of texts that Cheney improperly read to the public show nothing illegal. Cheney should release to the public her own private communications against Trump, which would show how unfit she is to sit on a committee that falsely pretends to be impartial.

"Cheney also released some private texts by a Trump family member and Fox News commentators, while concealing the identity of fellow lawmakers who texted Meadows. Apparently Cheney does not want to incur further wrath by Republicans for breaching their privacy, but she is fine with invading Trump family privacy.

"These texts should be protected by executive privilege, a two-century-old doctrine first established by President George Washington. A lawyer who lives in the D.C. area with her big-firm lawyer husband, Cheney surely understands how important doctrines of privilege are to facilitate candid conversations.

"As Meadows' attorney has informed the House committee, the statute on which the House bases its authority was never intended to be used like this amid executive privilege and never has. The House has not previously voted to hold a former member in contempt for any reason in nearly 200 years."

There are two people involved here. Trump has come out hard in support of Pelosi's political prisoners. I'm asking if/when DeSantis will do the same.

We can give them both the benefit of the doubt and assume they initially believed the protesters were murdering Capitol Police with fire extinguishers. But what has happened since the truth came out? Trump threw his support behind the protesters. I'm asking you, what about DeSantis?

Trump is only now throwing his weight behind the January 6 folks after he threw them under the bus because it scores him political points.

Again, Trump said throw the full weight of government against them and he didn't do a blanket pardon when he could have.

DeSantis is a State Governor.  He has no actual power to change things. Trump as President did and his actions flat out led to those folks being in jail.

'Only a state governor,' was very quick to back Pelosi's Reichstag Fire. DeSantis has had nearly a year to notice massively unequal treatment under the law as well as to see the abuse of the January 6th prisoners.

So you're saying it's 'only a state governor's,' job to condemn the protesters but it's above DeSantis' pay grade to notice that the people he wanted to see get the book thrown at them are being treated inhumanely?

Precisely zero, because, as you accurately described it, this was a "right wing riot".  If it was an insurrection, you would expect that the "leader" of the insurrection would have actually shown up to lead his troops into battle. Instead, the great white hope scurried back to his hidey-hole and let his supporters commit hari-kari on his behalf.  Not only that, but he instantly disavowed their actions, threw them under the bus and then did nothing to help them, because, let's be frank, he doesn't even like them because they are the unwashed masses that embarrassed him.  And yet, despite all of this, people still love the guy. It's baffling.

Wasn't there a Q theory about this statement that was parroted on here... like a body double or trump locked away, or Trump family threatened so he had to write it?

There were definitely posters that were making excuses for him doing it and there were posters that were mortified and saw it as a betrayal.

He's the rights version of Obama. An empty suit. Obama made a speech and let Bill Ayers write his fantasy-'auto'-biography. Jr makes speeches and tweets. No real difference in accomplishments.

Concern is noted

I've definitely changed my mind about it all now

Late to the part as usual but it wasn't an insurrection. It was a party. Nothing more than throwing the tea in the harbor.

An insurrection would look much different and if it had been,  one girl getting shot would have sparked far more that a tweet war

Yet Trump flat out said to Back the Blue.

"No true supporter of mine could ever disrespect law enforcement or our great American flag. No true supporter of mine could ever threaten or harass their fellow Americans. If you do any of these things, you are not supporting our movement, you are attacking it and you are attacking our country. We can not tolerate it."

They don't realize just how pissed and angry people were to shut down the capitol in the middle of a proceeding. In bizarro world, they aim to tie every bit of the anger to Trump. In reality, this anger is a crescendo of years being taken advantage of and then neglected for the highest bidder as well as LE agencies being used to target a certain class of citizens and their leaders. Thats not to say all the lies that have been told and the cover ups.

People took matters into their own hands. Damn the consequences.

How many times do you want to do this routine? Trump has been supporting the January 6th protesters for many months now. The last time we played, 'Who's on First,' I posted the quotes. Do you honestly not understand that I'm asking when DeSantis will do the same? It's been almost a year. That should have given even an Ivy League career politician enough time to criticize Pelosi's goon committee/the inhumane treatment of her political prisoners.

Making America Great Again has always been about defending the rule of law, supporting the men and women of law enforcement and upholding our nation's most sacred traditions and values.

"

Because even Trump said right after January 6 that the full weight of government will be thrown against the people.

You could change my mind. Jr is 44 yo. List his two or three biggest accomplishments. If they are really significant, I'll take back my assessment.

Edit: Am I the only one who finds it hilarious that Jr has to go through Mark Meadows just like Hannity and Ingraham? I bet Eric Trump has a direct line whenever he needs to use it.
