They started to do an ultrasound where they went down her esophogas(sp) to get a picture from behind the heart and her Aorta ruptured. The heart immediately stopped, and they tried everything but never could get it started again. When they called me to come in she was already dead.

I'm also so sorry for you. With a name like Martini Butt she must have been a jovial person to be around. In time you'll think of the good times. I coped by remembering one good thing each night and was able to sleep.

You and your wife have my prayers, and I can just guess how you feel right now. My own father died less than a day ago and it has been a hard, hard time. I've been running on
adrenaline and I'm out of it now, and I'm starting to crash. I don't think the full reality
of the situation has really hit me and it's going to hurt. I think this will happen to you,
too, and you can't be prepared but you can be warned of it. It may help a little.

We are brothers for now, sharing in grief that we can't express. You have my most
sincere and heartfelt condolences, coming from someone who's in a not totally dissimilar
situation.
