So people married and raised families at far younger ages than today. |

A handful at least. I would have no problem marrying a daughter off at 15, to a good husband from a good family (state laws apply). But not to some dude who is banging 3-4 high school girls a week. . It's not even the same ballpark.
I have a cousin who got married at 14, she is still married decades later. 3 beautiful kids. Prosperous marriage. Her husband is one of most stand up people I ever met. Hard working, honest, loving, faithful. We should all be so lucky. And no, it wasn't an arranged marriage. Simply approved of by the families and the state. Too many people find out too late, you don't marry just the person, you marry their family too. |
