This sounds like a great deal if you are suing someone that is judgement proof, .ie has no money and won’t pay. You get to make them look like stupid on tv and the show will actually pay the money they owe.

Kid I worked with went on that show years ago. He was a wimp, but was taken advantage of by his roommates. He got totally gutted on that show and made a fool of for his time. His case in local small claims would have been open and shut. Fuck that show.

My fiance was on Judge Mathis a number of years ago. She wasn't proud of her appearance and she "lost" but they paid the penalty. I've searched for the episode and can't find it.
