Difficult choice with the “up to” language. Could end up being $5 in which case the monitoring might be the better choice. Hmmmm . . . View Quote No one will end up with near the claim. Its just that a CLAIM. Most will end up with <$5. The 1,000,000 insurance alone is worth it. I cant think of any downside - no social all publicly available information other than maybe your email. All my CC's and debits are already backed the only thing left is actual credit taken out - there is no backer for that. My aunt was effected and it has been YEARS of fighting to get it off the record. With insurance you could pay that out and be done by then. |

Sweet! Ol lady and I both signed up. Now I won't need permission to renew ARFCOM for 5 years! And she can get a new set of hair curlers!

What is the time frame for the breach? I had a major breach in 2017, don't have any way to back up my time dealing with it though.
I already have free monitoring through 2026 via OPM breach so seems like a no brainer to me. |

I spent hundreds on credit monitoring and shit over this. Hopefully they will take care of some of it.

I was affected but filled out the info and hit "next" but nothing happened. I guess they ran out of money.

"Based on the information you provided, our records indicate that your personal information was not impacted by this incident. Equifax has worked hard to make the "Am I Impacted" tool as accurate and up-to-date as possible."
I guess that's the best result Also still waiting on my Tuna!!! |

Mrs Rabinowitz and I are both eligible.
She is still steamed. She wants more than money. She has a cousin who paints houses. His name is Howie Felterbush. There will be blood! |

Are y'all over looking the 10hrs you spent monitoring your credit?

I have Credit Karma and I’m not overly impressed with them. Sometimes my credit score is accurate, sometimes it is off by 50 points. They often post updates to my credit report several weeks or even months after they occur. But it is free, it’s better than doing nothing and hoping your credit is OK, which is what a lot of people do. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I didn't lie and took the free credit monitoring. Now you have credit monitoring. But it is free, it’s better than doing nothing and hoping your credit is OK, which is what a lot of people do. |

INB4 all those hackers who stole my data use my data to take my refund too!

My old boss went to Equifax to work in Cybersecurity after they hired a new CISO.
She said, "Well, it can only go up from here." |

FSA takes money that people paid involuntarily in taxes. Equifax is an international multi-billion dollar publicly traded company (symbol EFX) that pays dividends. The settlement is a drop in a bucket, and it will come out of the pockets of their paying customers and/or shareholders. It's "asshole tax" for them failing to exercise proper care with peoples' personal financial data. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

It says you can only get the $125 if you already have monitoring. Fuck if I know, I submitted the form anyway.

Credit monitoring should be fucking free for the subsidized racketeering scheme these companies have set up with my government.
It’s a gosh damn automated notification that probably costs them nothing but electricity and a few lines of code. |
