I probably rotate through one of these the most throughout the year.  Hinderer XM-18 3.5 Skinny Slicer in M390, Strider SnG CC in CMP154, or a Shiro F3 in Elmax.

All well made production models, good steels, comfortable in the pocket.

Rotate through several zero tolerance knives. 0566 is probably my favorite.

Benchmade are democrat supporting anti gunners. It sounds like you might enjoy the hogue Doug Ritter RSK. This is the mini.

I’m an axis lock guy.

Love my Ritter. I’ve got a few Chris Reeve Sebenzas (large and small) also but just never liked the way the carry or open. But … I always seem to go with one of my many (7) pre retard Bitchmade Griptilians. I’ll never buy a new one but my old stash of them are me EDC.

I like the Kershaw Blur. Ebay usually has some listed as "blemished" for around $50. I got several and they all look and work perfectly. I have a few different blade profiles and switch up every now and then. Been carrying them for several years without an issue. Hold an edge well and have been good for me.

My Kershaw Blur opens with authority.  I bought it several years ago and never regretted.  I have a few others but the Blur is
my Go To when I carry a knife.

Still recommend the 110 Slim Pro, all the nice features of a 110, but a lot less weight and bulk.

What do you usually use a pocket knife for?

I like deep pocket clips, of course, one-hand opening. Outdoors use, I prefer a stouter folder; office work and general EDC, I like a good slicer. There's really so much variety and quality on the market, you kind of need to narrow down the above.

tag.

Should probably consider getting a new knife, been using the same CRKT M16-12Z since 2009.

Has a chip near the point, is no longer a tanto edge and the serrations dont exist.

I know everybody loves to hate Benchmade, but I still love my Bailout, green aluminum handled version.

In my opinion, for a true EDC knife, stick to knives with bronze washers for the pivot. Screw keeping bearings clean when you’re truly carrying it everyday. I don’t have anything against ball bearing pivots on knives for occasional carry, but every time I’ve tried to carry one for a week or more straight they start to bug me quick, while several knives with bronze washers stay just as smooth for way longer between deep cleanings.

Spyderco PM2 is a close second for me, but it’s Billie than I like to carry nowadays. Bailout disappears in the pocket. Still eventually want a Chris Reeves Umnumzaan eventually, but it seems covid completely fucked their production capability.

What was the list of grievances for Benchmade again?

I know they were providing use of their equipment for firearm destruction services for a local PD. And the bigger issue to me, they apparently donated to some local democrat politicians. Was there more?

They didn’t admit their wrongdoing or apologize.

Instead, they “apologized” by doubling-down, and issuing an accusation.

They “apologized” for the “confusion and concern” of those offended. That is quintessential GASLIGHTING.

“YOU” are the problem because you’re offended that they are complicit in the destruction of firearms by local police. But THEY are sorry that you are offended.

They admitted no wrongdoing, and they sure as hell aren’t sorry for their behavior.

Fuck those guys.
We aren’t half as stupid as they think we are.

I've had a Delica of some flavor or another since they were known as the Clip-It.  I've got a crapload of knives - enough that I finally recently ordered some purpose-built storage cases for my trads, BMs, Kershaws, etc - but 99% of the time, it's one of my Delicas that end up clipped in my pocket.  I usually double up with a slip-joint of some flavor.  The Vic Pioneer and Farmer have got a lot of pocket time.  Lately, I've been enjoying a Boker Copper/Burlap Barlow from SMKW.

This, plus I don't think Benchmade folders are made to the same standard they used to be.  I haven't bought any new ones in years, but my brother has.  Grip scales that easily flex, thinner blade stock, and an overall "cheaper" feel.

I have a bunch but some of my favorites are, a GiantMouse Ace Grand, Benchmade 940, Benchmade 530, Cold Steel Code 4 and Spyderco Endura. I find I end up carrying some cheaper ones at work where they are more likely to get lost or damaged and carry the nicer ones when I’m off.

ETA: I had a cheap RAT-1 that was very good for the money ($20). Was the sharpest out of the box knife I’ve ever had. Gave it to a friend who didn’t have a knife but keep thinking I’ll pick up another one.

They're completely non-tactical and not cool in the slightest but a Case Trapper or a Buck 55 does everything I need a knife to do and one or the other is carried every day.
