While I've enjoyed his reviews, his old videos are where I actually learned a thing or two. I've hunted/hiked/camped my entire life, but I'm certain that I can pick up something new with these videos and I'm looking forward to it. The older stuff is what hooked me... Newer stuff...I'm 80% in... Just like polenar tactical older vids verse the new ones... But they are funny. The add killed me.  Attached File |

I’ve always liked him.
Is he still active military? He made some comments in the latest video (the subject of this thread) that made me wonder. That said, I’m looking forward to more. There’s only so many guns you can review until you’ve touched all of them and then you’re reviewing MREs or anything to keep going. |

I like his videos and he seems like a good guy. Went to medical school, quit his residency to pursue his dream in the military. Was a SERE instructor, current TACP, and gun enthusiast. Son of Travis Haley IIRC? Seems like a good American.

I like his videos, take what I want to out of them....is usually straight forward....but I do get the impression he gets a lot of stuff given to him for revirews. He has a high YT count number and I am sure does very well in that aspect.
His MK18 videos is what got me started down the MK18 road. I am not military, not an operator, but IMO, the man can shoot very well.....if I was in a bind, I want him on my side |

People hating on Garandthumb on here are ridiculous. The guy has a theme, does it well, and seems to make a genuine effort to give solid information from his perspective while using his theme and style to entertain while instructing. I can find no fault in that.
Now, if you’re not a fancy fellow and just like to spend 45 minutes talking in a dullard fashion about a knife, 42 of which is jerking yourself off, I get it. You can fuck off. But that’s not GT. |

Wait a minute. I've been assured by Delta force tier zero operator experts on this site that G_T has no idea what he's talking about and is just a poser who's never done anything.
 Loved this video and I'm glad he's doing this series. I always enjoy his videos and it seems like he's pretty down to earth and never claims to be what he isn't. I know he sustained a pretty serious neck/spinal injury during an airborne jump so that may have something to do with the "I used to use" comments. May be on light duty for a while. |
