Should be a update at the top of the hour, I believe.. in an hour, 7pm CDT the last update had the track coming in between Matagorda and Sargent moving due north at that point, so Katy is pretty much in the path. |

I'm in Katy as well. Have fuel for the genny, got the truck fueled up and ready to hook to the house and yeah...guess its a waiting game now...

Be careful. Tried to secure as much as possible. I live on the San Barnard river. Flooding my be a problem. Tax day flood I had water 8 feet deep in the road in front of my house. I live on a hill, but not a big enough hill. I hope everyone makes it through this with minimal damage. |

If it makes CAT1 the talking heads will be spinning their story that it's soon to become a CAT2.
They are literally praying that it hits CAT1. Cocksuckers. |

quick trip to the gun range in between squall bands
Just drove my car up under the firing line awning. Good lesson: scopes are useless in anything more than a sprinkle |

All this waiting and stress is making my UC act up. I should just take three Benadryls and sleep thru the whole thing tonight, but I feel like I should stay alert for some reason. Not that I can do much of anything except ride it out and hope for the best.

Quoted: The center of the projected track is about 2 to 3 miles east of my house and hasn't moved much all day. The winds are projected to be 50 something to 73 mph here, we have trees on both sides of the house and we're in a low spot. We have a motel room rented for a couple days. View Quote Center of cone is 10 miles west of us here in Magnolia. Could get sporty. |

Texas City here. I went to both Aldi and Kroger late this afternoon, and both had tons of water. Normally, they'd be sold out with just a
bad storm. This is not normal. Luckily, I also found plenty of beer. I'm ready for anything now. |

Been really odd around here a well. Gas stations? Outside of one, crickets for the most part. Plenty of generators at the Lowes and HD. AC's as well. Kinda odd considering usually you can't find water the 12 hours prior to a storm hitting. Ditto for the ACs since we are smack dab in the middle of the summer.

You ain't kidding! Just got word from my daughter in California that the Shelly fire is a mile from their house they just bought last month. They went back to get the dogs and there are dozers on their property cutting fire lanes. Now this wind and water don't seem like that big a deal to me. And I'm 10 miles west 9f center from the projected path. Attached File |
