ITT, we discuss the awesomeness of the fixed stock for the AR-15.
There is just something better about the fixed stock on a AR. It reminds me of simpler times. Of the era of ABC and your magazines options were GI Aluminium or Thermolds. Optics attached to carry handle and three point slings were considered advanced. Music was still Metal and Grunge was still relegated to Seattle. The Russians were dazed and confused from the collapse of the USSR and AK & FAL kits were cheaper than an outing to the movies these days. The internet was DSL or AOL. Porn was pictures and Social Media didn't exist yet. Cars still had rollup windows and ashtrays. Playboy still didn't undies in their magazines and Penthouse/Hustler was hardcore. We still had optimism in our Government and economy. Clinton was actually being impeached. Ahhh simpler times...... |

I love a fixed stock. They fit me just fine and don't pull my beard hairs like my Magpul CTR.

I've got a nice 20" with a Magpul FCS, grip, and handguards on it that is just fun. Like an A2 with ergos that I like a bit better. I'll have to get a pic.

Love my CMMG barreled 20". Swapped out the furniture for all Magpul stuff.
The 1-7" twist barrel shoots 77g BTHP's amazing.

My most recent assembly was an A2 style HBAR. I hand selected the upper to lower fit among the stripped lower receivers in my stash to find a combo with rock solid fit.
No rattling or play on that gun anywhere. Feels like a solid one piece unit. It’s got a Colt barrel assembly and Colt bcg with a LaRue MBT. Yeah that fucker will shoot. |
