This 2021 Jeep Wrangler with the 2.0T replaced our Mini Cooper S Convertible. The Mini-Cooper had that fun popping exhaust on it. However, living in rural cattle country Missouri, the Jeep makes more sense. Especially when you have a Chevy 3500 pulling a load of hay riding your back bumper.

Boxster is the way. Buy a dfi one, stick shift, you want leather door panels and a non leather dash.
I much prefer the non turbo 6 to the new turbo 4. But the turbo 4 can make big power with a tune. Boxster is the most reliable car porsche ever built. |

Wife's car is an 03 Z4. Fun car that has been easy to maintain. I have plenty of headroom at 6' with the top up and the 3.0 has enough power to make it fun to drive.

1970 Chevelle with a built big block; absolute dude magnet car, can't stop at a light or gas station without some doofus asking if it "gots a three fiddy? Do a burnout!!" ,women under 50 nearly universally think it smells bad, and wonder, "why does it sound like that?" (Big cam and headers)

Granted, they weren't all Emily Blunt, but it's easily a 50:1 ratio over the Chevelle. Of course I had to deal with idiots in diesels occasionally cracking predictable jokes. I should not have sold my Miata, but my wife and I needed two new vehicles to carry the kids.  Attached File Attached FileETA: Chevelle is fun because big smoky burnouts and V8 big cam soundtrack. My S2000 only let me down once, picked it up in '99 and not letting it go. The let down was a transmission failure, some may have heard/read the story. Apparently they fixed the problem early and I've put over 100,000miles on the replacement trans provided by Honda.
It's not good on slippery snow or ice, definitely fun but you wont get anywhere quickly in that stuff... ABS works in reverse at 60mph... gas mileage varies from 12mpg (track) to 30 on the highway... tires, same kind of thing, rears can be 10k to 40k and fronts double that if they don't dry rot first... |

I have had three Boxsters. Two S models and my current 2016 GTS. 6 cylinder naturally aspirated. 330 hp and less than 3000 lbs very fun. Mid-engine, so weight distribution is great and two trunks. The front is large enough for a golf bag and clubs, I don’t know, I don’t play golf but it will fit my carbines, targets and ammo. The rear trunk is small but still functional.
My three have had manual transmissions. All three of mine have been reliable and Porsche has taken care of me when I have had issues. Get the Boxster.

The TVS was an upgrade option when I got mine, but I didn't feel like spending the money (in hindsight, I should have). (Main components from Hydro-HP.) Because of my WMI system, I also fabricated my own intake tract. I still want to fab a new air filter box, as I would prefer to run an AEM filter (they don't have one that would fit Tom's box, which is built around a K&N). |

Still bigger than the Elise lol, I owned an NA and you could fit quite a bit in there. You also had a huge shelf behind the seats you could cram stuff in. Drove an ND, had a launch edition reserved, but never took the plunge and was annoyed the launch edition was based on the grand touring rather than the more race oriented club with the brembos and such. That's when I bought my Elise... Sold it in 2018 for not much different than what I paid. I did a few autocrosses in the Elise and had fun, but in stock condition even with good tires it was woefully overclassed in superstock compared to GT3s and such that were well sorted |

Just bought a 2017 2SS Camaro. 6.2L V8, manual 6 speed trans. I am very impressed with it. Comfortable car, for the front passengers at least. And it has great power and torque. A lot of people complain about the visibility, I say just drive the fucking car you pussy.

Can go with a b8.5 Audi RS5 (v8, AWD)
 Or b8/b8.5 Audi S5 (supercharged v6, AWD)  I have the S5 cab. Did testpipes and full awe exhaust, swapped pulleys, apr carbonfiber intake, apr ultracharger (larger throttle body), ported supercharger, apr heat exchanger, apr coils, engine/transmission tune. Brake and suspension upgrades. Make over 400whp, it’s a blast to drive and handles like it’s on rails. My only complaint is neither have a manual option. Factory brakes on my s5 were far from sufficient with all the mods. I swapped over larger rotors and larger Porsche calipers. |
