Robocop is coming true;
Detroit is a complete mess, and the cops are driving Taurus patrol cars. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Are those the AWD Eco Boost Tauruses?
I considered one of those before I got my Maxima...but they are so rare, I've onlly seen 4 or 5 over the past year on the road. It would have been hard to find one that was 1 year used with less than 10K miles, so I went with the Maxima. |

You dont see gumball machines anywhere else these days. VSP hasnt had them on their cars since the late 80s.

Not much less though. You better find some tall bushes to hide behind if you're gonna catch speeders in that thing.

Those cars suck. I am 5' 11" and have trouble getting in and out of those. They are fun to drive and handle great but who would of thought that cops would like to get in and out of a car in a timely fashion?
|
|
the big cherry on top makes it easy to spot them while you're speeding

I have to wonder what they did to accomodate the push bumper on a uni-body car.
I also wonder if torque steer will be a constant complaint from the troopers. |

I didnt know anyone still used gumball machine lights no shit. and what is up with that sign on the hood Pretty soon they'll rent that space out for banner ads. Maybe upgrade to an mini LED billboard display like you see on taxis. |

I would hate to drive one of these instead of the Hemi Charger

Hate to say it but I like the new interceptors. Still wish Ford would wake up and import the Falcon from Australia though.

Actually, the public - at least around here - doesn't expect to see police SUVs and will fly right by, even when the SUV is all decked out. Ducks on the pond! |

Gumball lights are as ridiculous as cops wearing hats on patrol.

Mine is a slicktop, all black with that ghost lettering on the side. Don't mind me I'm just a soccer mom |

Just up the road from me, they hamlet I have to drive though to get to Costco uses Tahoes, whit and blue ones, to try and catch speeders. They park in the turn around lane of the median to try and catch people going the other way in a 35. You can spot a quarter mile away on a dark night.

Like the hubcaps and maybe even those glow things that light up the bottoms. |
