A warrant officer is a subject matter expert, a specialist, focusing on a single skill or specialty,  who, as tbey progress through the ranks, know more and more about less and less, until they eventually know everything about nothing.

This is in contrast to the officers, who are generalists. As they progress through their careers, leading larger and larger formations, they know less and less about more and more, until they eventually know nothing about everything.

You still have OERs?

I thought once you earned the teleportation mod the OER would be kinda pointless.

Especially since 5's can wave their hands over paper and change the wording to whatever they desire.

Or so I've heard.

We do get OER's, they just no longer get Senior Rater profiled since we aren't competing against each other for promotion.

My favorite has the guy at the top of the stairs in his pajamas, lighting up offscreen terrorists while they lament that they are no match for his legally owned weapons.  I tried to find it, but my search fu is weak.

I always thought Gary Trudeau really captured the flavor of Desert Storm in quite a few of his comic strips.  I really hate his comic strips, but some of them were spot on.

I loved this one very very much!

I thought the cartoons he did with the character losing his leg in Iraq and the recovery were pretty well done. There was one where the patients at Walter Reed go to the bar and when the guy with one leg falls over, he loudly exclaims it's just because he's drunk.

A combination of bad recruiting rules and federal funding rules.

Being short of troops means a loss of money, and states can only recruit for a vacant position, so if fatty has an MOS that's long, if ya boot him out you may have a vacant slot for a year or more.

damn you people.

No T64s were ever exported.  E. Germany was the only non USSR nation that had them.

Look at the barrel and count the road wheels.

and whoever said M60 should be shot.

Fucking children.

5 road wheels.  bore evacuater on the end.  Active IR search light.  T55.  IT does lack the gap between the 1st and 2nd road wheel.  Hand rail were on T55s.

Wrong barrel for T62

No hand rails on 72s, wrong profile, wrong barrel.
