Went to boot camp with a kid who's last name is Marine.
His laundry list number was 36.
He was called number 36 until Graduation day.

I went to Basic with a little squirt (110 lbs soaking wet) from Texas named Sergeant. Showed up with a huge belt buckle and cowboy hat. He was constantly grilled. But he did keep them off me!

We had a Pvt Soap.

Tiny guy, when we got the shakedown at the back of the orderly room on day one he didn't have any soap.

Pvt Soap was his name throughout OSUT.

I served with an E5, Sgt Sargent.

Also went to Basic and AIT with a guy from Alabama with the last name Rambo, luckily for him he was a hard charger, because he got all kinds of shit from the drills.

"whatcha ya doin' RaaambOH ?" is indelible in the hippocampus.

Wow.....
Back in the 80's my buddy got a USMC tattoo before going to boot camp. I tried to talk him into waiting until he got out. He quickly became the drill sergeants favorite boot. They smoked him long and hard every chance they got. He made it through, and by all accounts had a good career, but damn he started out rough.

I wondered when that would show up here.

Apparently I am a Marine now. There's a few parallels between that and geology

When I was in Germany, the two doctors assigned to the medical detachment that served our BN were Major Kramp and Captain Finger.

No one wanted to go on sick call.

Had a guy in my platoon last name Dork. Also had another guy in a different platoon last name Funk.

They went through basic together as well. I bet the Drills Loved them lol.

When Infirst met Dork I thought they were fucking with him and wrote it on his helmet band then I saw his name tape. Still thought they were fucking with him and made him buy a name tape with it. Turns out it was his real name.

Dude was one of our M60 gunners. Big mofo. He hated the Army.

He pissed a huge dark yellow FTA in the snow and the Smaj walked up on him. Fucker told him it meant Follow The Airborne lol. Smaj of course was no tard and Dork got smoked by the Smaj untill his hands were about frozen off lol.

The worst last name I met, was Love.  He was tagged "Brother Love", which at the time IIRC was a Pro-Wrestler.  Pretty tame compared to some of the names here.  The other good one was our 1sgt.  Last name Tony.  He got rid of a lot of dead wood thru chaptering.  Tony the Tiger, supposedly he PCS'ed from the retraining brigade in Germany to our unit.  In any event, if he is reading this, thank you.

He looks pretty skinny. Prolly wears a small plate carrier with small plates.

You don’t want to be a soup sandwich with your gear all loose and flopping around.

Or maybe he’s wearing small plates ‘cause they weigh less.

Dunno.

It’s a meme. Stop being so serious.
